- There is no way to flash modified firmware, there is signature check inside of iOS. Flash process works not via USB, it just uploads file to iOS and than it making checks, so nothing we can do here without patched bootloader

Making fake video is very easy

Just get unlocked device, login with your apple id, restore it via DFU. Ask your friend to login on PC via icloud.com and tell him to wait your command to delete device on website while you are doing magic moves on the video.

Yes if you replace motherboard, it will unlock your device.
But Touch ID works only with its own motherboard, any replacement will make it stop working.
If you restore firmware via iTunes with not own Touch ID, you will brick your device.
If you going to replace motherboard, make sure it goes with it own Touch ID.

I got information that this is no longer problem. You can restore firmware via DFU with not original Touch ID. Device will work fine, but Touch ID itself will not work.
Once I get more confirmations this warning will be removed.

The method itself is just like for iPhone 4, connect via SSH and rename Setup.app. Do not restore firmware via DFU until you backed up activation tickets, either you will loose cellular functionality forever

If you have connected via SSH with checkra.in don't forget to back up /var/root/Library/Lockdown folder it may help to get cellular/SIM back. And if you did back up it, never loose it.
