I’d like to let you know that Williams Miller, who supported the development of the HyperHLE and PocketHLE emulators, had his Facebook group banned. He recently created a new Discord server dedicated entirely to retro gaming.

A lot of people think that if you use AI for coding, the result is automatically garbage and that you didn’t really make anything yourself.
The problem is that many people only use AI superficially and never push it into more complex projects like building an emulator, reverse-engineering a game for modding, or porting a game to another platform.
Of course, AI isn’t going to create an entire project from a single prompt, just like a real developer wouldn’t. But if you actually work with it, understand the code, debug it, and keep iterating, you can build a really solid project in just a few days.
For example, with Claude Code, you can potentially port your favorite game to Android or even to something as unusual as Windows Mobile.

I don't like it when vibe coding is used for websites or data structures where confidentiality is extremely important, especially when they handle user input and banking information

I also wanted to respond to the people who accused me of putting viruses into my HyperHLE project.
First of all, the project is completely open source, and all of the builds are compiled on GitHub from the source code available in the repository. If you genuinely believe there is a virus in it, then go through the code and show exactly where it is. Don't just make accusations without any proof.
Second, I actually have more questions about some people who claim to be making ports of iOS games to Android but in fact it's touchHLE or HyperHLE. Their build logs say that the builds were compiled locally, so there’s no way to know for sure what they may have added to the final files themselves.
I’m not accusing anyone of anything without evidence, but the same standard should apply to everyone: if you're going to accuse someone of distributing malware, provide actual proof.
