We looked further into the wallet firing the $50M to $100M TWAP alerts you have been seeing the last few days.
The alerts are real but the orders mostly are not. 96% of its 450+ TWAPs since January were cancelled early (usually within 30 seconds) while it fills a fraction of the advertised size and trades the reaction.
The trader is most likely spoofing the orderbooks (potentially trading on other wallets) and looking for notification bots/momentum algos to reprice their liquidity parameters in response to the public order being flashed.
We will be making changes to our alerting system for all TWAPs moving forward to reduce this noise in the coming days.
