Behave like the God you were born to be.
This does not mean to carry yourself with a false arrogance unbefitting to mortal or god.

No, it means to help your people. Do not stand by in selfish silence watching the suffering around you. Give more than you take. Demand nobility of yourself and others who wish to associate with you. Never be cruel never be cowardly but do nurture the ruthlessness and brutal nature within yourself. Love, do not fear showing love or being loved. Embrace the pain of your people making it your own. Laugh, find the joy and the absurdity in life, do not feeling guilt over experiencing laughter nor joy. Become what you want to see in others Strong, Courageous, Wise understanding.

We are an ancient people the well of our pain runs deep driving us ever forward with a relentless drive we cannot resist.

"As long as people try to forget we were ever Christian, we will never revive ethnic faith. Because half of us will be venerating a corpse, the other half a lie."

for when people deny the Christian bible being written by any "authority" but is really "the true and final word of god" while speaking against Ethnic Faith while running off at the mouth about the kindness and morality of Christianity.

Additionally; When they speak of Revelations and the madness of end times and that it is true, remember to laugh about the writing contest from which that story was selected for their "holy" book because it was vague enough to always seem true to the panicked sheep.

"If the Christian God is as horrid and as powerful as their book describes him. Then our gods are that much more worthy of veneration, because they fight a supposedly unwinnable war; because they know it is the right thing to do."

Eyes glowing in the dark a deep gravely voice from the deepest shadows of the Childs room whispered, "Be calm young one and rest easy. I watch over you this night and no harm shall come to you while you sleep.".

Next Sketch... Fenrir & Vidar.

I really wanted to add more detail to Fenrir, and especially Vidar, but sadly, time is of the essence. I may turn this into a future painting, though.

The Eikthyrnir artwork is almost done; I had to redo it from scratch, but I'm glad I did because it looks much better, more dramatic and aesthetically pleasing. I should hopefully finish the piece tomorrow. Then I'll have enough artwork for the exhibition on Friday.

It's finally getting close to Easter! At least where we're at, the flowers are starting to burst through, the buds are on the trees, and there's birdsong every morning, however still no flowers here, still no baby animals, but close enough I'd say we are firmly in Eastertide. Here's a little video to get you in the spirit of the season. -TLK

Awakening from their slumber from the winter, our ursine brethren rub the sleep from their eyes and look at their surroundings outside the den.

Hyperboreans have more in common with our bear brethren than any other creature of the wilderness.
Folklore, Mythology, bear cults, and festivals revere the king of ancient forestland and shows how important the bear is to our people.
See for yourself, look to our ursine brethren, see the similarities and how our own yearly biological cycle mirrors theirs.

What was once covered in ice and snow is now vibrant with the heraldic songs of joy and life that the forest brings with the return of spring.

A fresh start. A cycle of renewal. A rebirth.

Folklore of South Carolina: The Open Tomb of Julia Legare

Julia Legare was visiting family on Edisto Island, in the mid-1800s.

During her visit she fell ill, and died from fever...or so they thought.

Her relatives entombed her in the family mausoleum.

15 years later, when the tomb mausoleum was re-opened to lay another family member to rest, her relatives were horrified to find Julia's skeleton lay at the entrance.

Though she had been pronounced dead, she had actually slipped into coma so deep that the doctor could not detect a heartbeat.

Full of sorrow, Julia's family put her remains back as they had left them all those years ago.

Ever since her skeleton was discovered, the mausoleum door would not latch.

Her family saw this as a sign that Julia's spirit wished them to prevent the same date happening to anyone else.

The door was removed, and now Julia rests peacefully.
