The U.S. Navy has celebrated Thanksgiving in one fashion or another since before it became an official American holiday.
Arrayed below are Navy Thanksgiving menus f that span the first half of the 20th century.
Although some dishes (“Mayonnaise Salad” on battleship Arizona in 1917; “Baked Spiced Spam à la Capitaine de Vaisseau” on cruiser Augusta in 1942) have not transcended time and post-dinner cigars and cigarettes have also been left pierside, roast turkey, baked ham, and pumpkin pie have been the anchors of nearly every Thanksgiving feast at sea or on shore to the present day.
("Grandfather Tells A Story" by Albert Anker: 1884)

When researching the Hyperborean Ethnic Faith the most important question one can ask themselves is "What does this story tell me about the nature of our people and what is its lesson?" rather than taking the easy route of "How does this show this god is the same as that god?". Stories are lessons and rarely are their meanings hidden instead they are merely lessons presented in an entertaining way so that we remember them taking them into ourselves giving them a home to live and breath.
A farmer seeking enlightenment decided it best to ask the living things of his farm if they might feed him so he might not be hungry.
“Dearest cow” he asked, “would you mind terribly if I were to kill you and consume your flesh so that I might not be hungry?”
“No, you may not,” answered the cow, “however the sheep might be interested in your request.”
So, the man went to the sheep.
“Dearest sheep” he asked, “would you mind terribly if I were to kill you and consume your flesh so that I might not be hungry?”
“No, you may not,” answered the sheep, “however the pig might be interested in your request.”
And so, it went through all of the animals and all of the plants until the man fell, starved to death.
At that time the animals and plants then consumed what remained of his flesh so they would no longer be hungry.

Ancestor and Nature Spirits

Many "Nature Spirits" of Europe are also "Ancestor Spirits" as there are many Nature spirits that originate as the souls of the dead. The most notable of these is the House Spirits Such as Brownies, Domovoi, Lares, Fairy Godmothers, and Tomte. Though there are also spirits of natural areas and functions that begin their existence as the spirits of the dead. Some tales of Black Dogs include them originally being human spirits who take the form of these fertility spirits on the wild hunt or to interact with the living. These often become protective spirits to areas and people, or become Wind Hounds which bring fertility through the air. In the Slavic Areas and Beyond the Rusalki are the spirits of women who died and became river spirits. Perchta, an Alpine Goddess, is said to be Queen of the Ghost Children and caretaker of lost souls. Many of these child souls chose to stay with Perchta and become one of her many Perchten rather then to reincarnate or go to the ancestors.-TLK
Bragging time again incase people forgot. Hyperborean Radio managed to acquire religious exemptions from vaccine mandates for the Federal civilian sector. Now think on that when we say things that offend or hurt feelings. This small but dedicated group of people are able to achieve what large "scholarly" groups cannot or will not. Ask yourself why. Quite frankly because we could prove our point to those who are paid to prove us wrong. We did not use esoterism or conflating of deities to prove OUR GODS and OUR ANCESTORS have shown us to take no such thing into our bodies. We used our understanding of OUR LORE and OUR NATURE to prove our case using written sources. So when we say things counter to the mainstream pagan narrative, please take this into account. We have done what others cannot and so make excuses for why they do not.
Apollo, Wolves, and Ravens

Apollo is one of the most well known Greek Gods but he's usually boiled down to Youthful Sun God. He is much more taking part in Prophecy, Medicine, Music, etc. He is considered the Father of the Muses and Asclepius, as well as many others. He was even said to have come down from Hyperborea and was still venerated there by the Hyperboreans in Greek Sources. Apollo is also associated with Ravens as it was a symbol of his as a god of Prophecy, he once sent it to spy on his lover Coronis and via this tale the White Bird was burned black. Apollo is also associated with Wolves, as his mother Leto, gave birth to him as a She-Wolf and in some versions Apollo began life not as a golden haired babe, but as a wolf cub god. Artemis his well known twin had an older cult and was likely grafted onto Apollo and Leto as a means of explaining her in a broader sense of the Greek Pantheon. Apollo is also one of the few Greek gods not to have his name changed or be conflated with a Roman god.-TLK
