I've often been accused of being an atheist, mostly because I don't subscribe to some doctrine or dogma thought up by people who view the Eddas as gospel rather than folklore. This is a fallacy, I believe in the gods. This is partly why at times I seem stubborn or thickheaded, unwilling to do things like say Herne=Odin, or Holda=Frigg. Let me explain why I do what I do. Over the course of over a thousand years we have lost god after god, tradition after tradition, the church, government, and plenty others have chipped away at all we are, we have lost a myriad of god names left and right. This is partly why I love finding out about the small and neglected gods, the ones that survived despite not getting a marvel movie or being forced to read about them in high school. These lesser known deities mattered to someone, or they would never have been gods at all. As we remember who we are the gods do what they can, and I do not want to let the memory of any more of our gods die. If I have to draw the ire of every person who views the lesser known gods as nothing more than spare parts for the more popular flashy gods to do so, then so be it. These gods matter, some of them far outranked the well known gods but due to some areas having written sources and others nothing but a name gods are marked as of lesser standing, because they didn't get a book that could be made into a bible, these lesser known gods are not aspects, they are not other bigger gods extra bits. I am not satiated with all we have is a name for Saxnot so fuck it make him an “aspect” of Tyr. This god has a stick and beard therefore it's Odin, because fuck it. The hubris, the insult, the downright disrespect. The gods of our people are not your mix and match toys, I believe in the gods therefore I don't believe it's my prerogative to just shove them together because I couldn't be bothered to dig deeper, or keep them separate so as to keep us from losing even more. I believe in them so I show them the courtesy of letting them be who they are, Holda is more than enough without being jammed into Frigg, Melusine is enough, Krampus is enough, Carna is enough, Perchta is enough, Radegast is enough...... why do they mean so little to people they must be some bigger more popular god? They are our divine family and I see people treat them like they're a hobby to do with what you want, to command, to use, to combine like fricking baking ingredients. Yes I believe in our gods. My question is to those of you that demand a monogod or your precious aspects. Do you?

Today we talked about the need to detox from who we were before returning to ethnic faith. The need to start slow and work our way up, of doing our own soul searching and understanding why we do what we do and who we are. Learn of the ancestral gods, and customs, for it is more than sub-culture. We spoke of the mistakes made when people take the baggage and way they did things pre-ethnic faith with them into it. We also discussed the wisdom and spirit of children. This was an important message that we hope is helpful to you. https://anchor.fm/hyperborean-radio/episodes/Begin-at-the-Beginning-e16depr

Italian fisherman Paolo Fanciulli has constructed numerous underwater sculptures which destroy unsustainable fishing nets around Tuscany.
His sculptures protect integral seagrass and has allowed for the return of endemic fish and dolphins.

Personification of Countries

Most countries in the western world are personified as women. These "goddesses" however are more than meets the eye.

Columbia is the modern incarnation of the Goddess Libertas in America, she is depicted either as nurturing or armed. She takes some hints from Isis and Hecate as the statue of Liberty, but America is the Land of "Liberty".

The Lady of the Mountain is actually part of the folklore of Iceland, with obvious elements of Icelandic history like the raven and rune stave. Mountains in Iceland are referred to as women, so she also doubles as the queen of mountains.

Britannia finds her origins in Brigantia a synchronized Gallo-Roman Athena/Brigid.

Marianne is also based off Libertas and also draws parallels to Joan of Arc, another pagan mythic figure. (She was burned as a witch).

While Germania largely served as a means with which to unify and represent a free German republic, she has grown to be reminiscent of Holle surrounded by infants.
