Leshy, Forest Grandfather

"He of the Pine Barrens" "He of the Grove" "Righteous One of the Forest" "Woodsman"

The Leshy
, ruler, grandfather and steward of the Forests across Slavia. The health, age and size of the forest directly effecting the scope of his power. As the deeper into the forest he goes the greater his capabilities, in a grand and powerful forest The Leshy can be taller than the tallest tree or mountains and his eyes can be as stars in the sky looking down from the constellations above, yet at the edge of his domain The Leshy is as small as a blade of grass.
Though his form varies wildly most often appearing as a Bear, Wolf or even a Wandering Tree. Though he is known to take more eccentric forms such as a Giant Talking Mushroom or some variation on Human, which are always Green eyed and not quite right, missing an eyebrow or ear, having horns or having his hair or fur made of leaves and plants.

The Leshy does not begrudge the Woodcutter or the Hunter, the Forager or the Home Builder. All living things may take what they need from the forest, Humans are no less forest beings than the Squirrel or the Bear.
What he begrudges is Avarice, to take more than is ones due destroying his home, until he has nothing left and made to blow away in the wind with the dust and debris of his once noble forest. His forest friends all gone. So he will protect that which he treasures most, violently if he must.
Yet he'd much rather be friendly to humans, even if he does not always understand us. Tickling us to death on accident, or drinking a bar dry of his beloved Vodka. But all in all The Leshy just wants his home to thrive, the people and animals nearby to live well and of course to do The Leshy's favorite pastime, Gamble like mad.
