I have met so few Christians who can truly describe their god as he is depicted in his own tales. I cannot help but think their Gods demeanor is more born of wishful thinking or some whispers of their own heathen god passed down unbeknownst through the ages.

This is excellent! A very impressive performance regardless of age.

Now this is where we point out THIS is the best example of why people THINK they know what is in their religious text but do not. They do not actually practice their avowed religion because they do not read the instruction manual.

Take anyone who can speak confidently, place him on a podium, open book to middle, flip pages as he speaks emphatically without actually saying anything but include something along the lines of "The Lord has done for us!" (repeat 2-3x) then slide in "He wants the money you give"

If You want me to take Christianity Seriously as a Religion instead of just as a political institution then you have to be capable of actually describing your religion accurately, the Church has had to rely on violence and bribery to get people into pews and keep them in line too often to be considered to be a valid choice of the people.

But stories and interactions of Santa Claus, Jack Frost and Thor quickly draw appreciation and a crowd. People care and adore their own gods and spirits, the foreign one is merely an obligation not a delight.

Few figures are more renown, more skilled or more prideful than Wayland the Smith. His reputation second to none when it comes to his craft. Yet where he came from, his pedigree, parentage and patronage are all the topic of many an argument and brawl. Some say his parents were Gods, others claim he was as mortal as any Man. Still others claim he was a fae, an elf, a dwarf or a giant. Some say he was born of The Morrigan or Wade The Ferryman, others a great sea monster or perhaps even a bear. The last one would certainly explain his hirsute visage. But many will remain adamant regardless of parentage that he was once flesh and blood the same as you or I. His bones in the Earth even if his Godly Ghost remains to this day(...)

Wayland never ceases, never stops, he is always improving and always outdoing himself. Never has his skill peaked, never has his passion wavered. There is always the next challenge, the next innovation, the next skill or craft to master from armor to jewels, from tools to towers. Yet for the first time in thousands of years he has begun to be forgot, for it is not in the hands of mortal men but cold soulless machines that things are made today. A God of crafts cannot persist in a land which has none.
