If you want to become a research weapon, send yourself 2-3 years to Chinese lab and forget.(I haven’t started my undergrad yet)

Yet, so many professors expectedly turned down my offer, only a couple of them genuinely offered. I am now working with Prof. David Hung on the three-dimensional reconstruction of smoke aerosols based on imaging and tomographic absorption spectroscopy. I really wonder if professors here get paid for being extra nice lol.

My first semester comes to an end. It could've been a wonderful time, but things turned the other way around. Thanks to everyone who checked in on me, I am doing fine, but I lost my friend. I hope that no one ever will go through things like this. May God bless the victims and their families.

Stay safe and care for each other.

One of the most underrated sites I know. You only pay for your flight; the rest (e.g., a private room, three meals a day, hiking tours, internet) is totally free. In exchange, you work 24 hours per week or volunteer, but it depends heavily on the available opportunities.

Moved to an apartment in Shanghai.

Decided to not to come to uzb this year, and instead work on research with Prof. David Hung, help with RD admissions to my 10 kids😭, and learn Chinese on steroids!!!

also, the pull bar was smth unexpected🀭

Daily supplements I take to fill gaps in my diet, and I would suggest you too.
(If you don’t want to end up checking your doctor weekly at your 25-50.)

Magnesium Glycinate: It is needed for over 300 processes in your body, and 85% of people are deficient. Running, or any other kind of sport, causes many more deficiencies.

Fish oil: Anti-inflammatory, which I usually combine with chia seeds. Omega-3 is a very popular choice, but make sure to get at least 2000mg of EPA and DHA.

Vitamin D3 with K2: K is what gets the vitamin D into your bones. If you take it without K2, it might increase calcification.

Specifically for people whose training is in their daily schedule: L-Arginine and Creatine Monohydrate (don’t fall for liposomal scams). It will incredibly boost the performance and recovery.

I’ve tried other options as well (l-theanine, ashwagandha), but would never advise consuming without a doctor’s supervision.

Overall, it will also make you look healthier and balance your studies, training, work, cognition, and sleep.

Two of the cameras are already set, waiting for the rest two. The gray one captures 320 frames/sec.

Also, using GeForce RTX 5090 just to run OpenFoam and Matlab is wildπŸ’€.
