For people who reached out regarding the SJTU application, please be aware that they ended the collaboration with UMichigan in 2025 due to national security concerns.

If you want to become a research weapon, send yourself 2-3 years to Chinese lab and forget.(I haven’t started my undergrad yet)

Yet, so many professors expectedly turned down my offer, only a couple of them genuinely offered. I am now working with Prof. David Hung on the three-dimensional reconstruction of smoke aerosols based on imaging and tomographic absorption spectroscopy. I really wonder if professors here get paid for being extra nice lol.
