My interest in engineering has evolved in different ways since high school. Especially at TKS, when we had a talk with Muhammad Hunain (NASA intern), becoming a pilot/being involved in aviation before even undergrads was the craziest thing I could ever think of. Until now…

Javohir, 🇺🇿Uzbek high school student, is interning as a pilot! I genuinely found this crazy and had to share. So much to learn and observe! Simply love it!

I can’t emphasize how many families will be harmed by this claim. Mothers of children who have other responsibilities than spending two hours on two loaves that can be bought for a sum. Or by her mother-in-law who spends her life complaining that Kelinka should work. Let alone the fact that it’s completely vice versa.

I wish some governors would underline how much a mother’s education affects her children’s future, and open free courses in certain fields.

or, at the very least, check before sharing such widespread misinformation.

Month left till RD deadlines, and here are my top three things I wish I knew before:

1st: Doing your research. Last year, no matter how much I did it, I ended up missing so many deadlines purely in the U.S. Luckily, here is an ultimate file of the international admissions database.

2nd: Jotting down notes while getting your application reviewed. Tho I've had 15-ish consultations with different people for just 5 schools, I wish I could summarize them all in one file. Recording works as well.

3rd: Brainstorming your Personal Statement. I've spent almost two years just coming up with a perfect PS for my case, but I wish to read a book on what the PS should be like. It's a subjective, vague, and unpredictable topic. In short, Atlas can definitely boost your PS.

Bonus: Most people asked about my background story, which is why I did a webinar at Unlock. I received almost 60 questions, and talked about my background. (it was so informative that I had to be uploaded on YouTube.)

If we think about it, the word “freedom” is one of the ultimate words we can make use of in essays/interviews. It can also make your negative reasons look quite positive with the right choice of words.

- Why did you take a gap year?
- Why are your activities randomly diverse?
- Why did you assist in a lab before commencing your undergrad studies?
- Why didn’t you decide on your major?

If used wisely, you can imply how much you value your freedom. Would advise adding to your vocab!!
