A deep dive into Humanode's BioDefi
Beyond other technological advancements in 2023, Humanode introduced BioDeFi, merging biometric technology with decentralized finance, marking a significant development in the DeFi sector.
A key innovation within the BioDeFi framework is the introduction of Biometric-based Nonlinear Liquidity Staking. It has been widely appreciated by the Web3 community.
Key stats for Nonlinear Liquidity Staking in just a month of its launch:
1. a TVL of $298013.48
2. daily rewards of approx 14,400 WeHMND ($2307.01)
3. an APR range of 100% for $20k staker to 1000% for $100 staker
Moreover, the liquidity depth for HMND on Kucoin (Centralized exchange) shows a +2% depth at $2,330 and -2% depth at $3,474. In contrast, for HMND in the LP staking pool, the +2% depth is higher at $5,326, while the -2% depth is slightly lower at $5,310. This indicates a more balanced liquidity in the LP staking pool compared to Kucoin.
The LP staking model is designed as a countermeasure against the dominance of "whales" and Sybil attackers – individuals or entities that get hold of large amounts of tokens and can influence the market.
In traditional staking models, whales can disproportionately affect staking rewards and governance decisions, leading to an imbalance in the ecosystem.
However, the nonlinear LP staking model levels the playing field by discouraging the concentration of power and influence in the hands of a few. It represents a novel approach in the DeFi space, aiming to create a more balanced and fair ecosystem where each participant has an equal opportunity to contribute and benefit.
To fight Sybil attacks, BioDeFi utilizes onchain biomapping mechanism that uses Humanode's cryptobiometric technology. It encrypts and links facial biometric data to EVM addresses. It aims to create a system where each participant's identity is distinct but anonymized, ensuring that financial transactions are linked to verified individuals, rather than pseudonymous or anonymous entities.
The approach marks a significant shift in how identity and financial transactions are handled in the DeFi space. One of the most popular and successful campaigns for the Humanode Community has been Humanode’s Got Talent, and there have been countless calls to hold another to prove that Humanode’s have really Got Talent beyond what we have seen so far.
We have 20x to 100x more community members, countless more partner communities, and as we have seen over the past year and a half, countless more talents.
Thus, we hereby announce the commencement of Humanode’s Got Talent 2024! 🥁🎉
It is now time to show off what you’ve got! Can you paint? Show us! Can you write poems? Recite them! Can you sing? Let us hear! Can you write songs, play a musical instrument, dance, act, perform magic tricks, or create miracles? Perform them for us! Express yourself! Show off! Show the world that you’ve got talent! 💪
Whatever talent you’ve got, we want to see it! All talents are accepted! However, there is one condition that you’ve got to keep in mind. We need you to apply your talent to something related to Humanode. Express Humanode through your talent. How you express Humanode is up to you. The more creative, the better.🖌️
How to join?
Create a video to demonstrate your act then upload it on YouTube. Tweet the link on Twitter as a single tweet and tag @humanode_io with hashtag #humanodesgottalent then share the link to humanodes-got-talent channel on Discord starting Jan 16th - Feb 6th, 2022 (11:59 PM UTC).

7 winners will earn rewards from the 2,000 USD prize pool. (note: paid out in HMND)
The top 3:
1st prize - 1000 USD
2nd prize - 500 USD
3rd prize - 300 USD
Special mentions:
The funniest prize - 50 USD
The biggest surprise prize - 50 USD
The cutest prize - 50 USD
The most memorable prize - 50 USD
Rules:
1. We will be considering any form of act.
2. One entry per performer (may be individual or group)
3. Tweet your entry on Twitter with #humanodesgottalent and tag @humanode_io
4. Post a link to a tweet to Discord humanodes-got-talent channel
5. Submissions are open until February 6th, 2024 (11:59 PM UTC)
6. Judging criteria based on overall performance, originality, creativity, effort, and concept of Humanode values.
7. Only original work is accepted.
8. Humanode has the right to delete inappropriate content without any explanation.
