Biometric servers update and reset
Dear human nodes,
We have an important announcement to share with you regarding the biometrics servers on Humanode chain. There will be a reset to the servers for Biometric AI upgrades + CVM improvements sometime between 10:00 UTC to 18:30 UTC on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 (tomorrow).
For node runners, this update means that you need to go through bioauthentication enrollment to ensure that your node continues to run seamlessly.
One thing to note is: this server update will not affect BotBasher verification, nor will it affect the Biomapper (for LP Staking). The update and server reset for BotBasher and Biomapper will happen next week.
We understand that this reset is time-sensitive, and will make a quick announcement before reset is initiated so that everyone is ready to re-enroll and re-authenticate within an epoch to avoid downtime in the validator status.
Here’s a guideline for you to stay synced and ready.
Wait for official announcement from the engineering team.
Shortly before the reset, the engineering team will notify you when they start working on the reset and will keep you updated as the process goes on.
Once the reset is completed, there will be an announcement so that you can start the enrollment and authentication immediately.
Don't worry, this reset won't impact the longevity of running your node as long as you don't change your substrate address, and re-enroll and re-authenticate within 1 to 2 hours after the reset.
On the bright side, this is a perfect opportunity for those who lost their keys or want to change to Substrate address to run a node. All you need to do is run the launcher using the new Substrate address.
We are also happy to share with you that this upgrade brings a qualitative improvement to the face scan process. For those of us who were just too unique and had to “re-scan” our faces a few times just to get it right, look forward to a much higher chance of getting it scanned on the first try!

Urgent Announcement 🚨
Impossible Finance's pool USDC/WeHMND was exploited due to an operational error in a parameter setting by the Impossible team.
115k USDC was drained. No other pools are affected, and the error is isolated to this pool. Nothing is wrong with the Humanode chain or any other official applications released by Humanode team.
We advise not to withdraw anything from biostaker right now.
Negotiations with the user are currently ongoing.
Here is the official statement from Impossible Finance:
1. Impossible Pause front end to add liquidity.
Impossible will cover any losses incurred by the users of this 115k who deposited ahead of Today, Friday, Dec 1st, 12PM UTC. Please do not deposit any other assets into the pool for now.
2. Impossible to work on a disbursement plan for all affected holders within the 7 days. We do not wish to see users harmed in this process and hope that this gesture can help in restoring confidence in using Impossible's products in this ecosystem. This directly harms our treasury as a project also trying to scale what we do, so we hope that this gesture is taken as a signal of our longterm belief in Humanode + the value of the chain ecosystem, as well as to show to the exploiter that this ecosystem is for long term players.
3. Impossible will put out a bounty program, we will offer 15% white hat reward if the user returns the funds within the next 5 days.
Our goal is to further support the Humanode ecosystem, and that we believe that this action directly harms the Humanode ecosystem and reputation through no fault of Humanode itself.
It was disappointing that this user bridged right away off of the chain, but we hope that this action was not of bad intent, and we are open to offering this bounty as an offer of positive gesture to an early adopter of Humanode's EVM.
Humanode will add 20 000 HMND bounty on top of it.

Biomapper servers update and reset
Dear human nodes,
We have an important announcement to share with you regarding the Biomapper on the Humanode chain. There will be a reset to the servers for Biometric AI upgrades + Confidential Virtual Machine improvements sometime between 10:00 UTC to 18:30 UTC on Wednesday, December 6th, 2023.
For those who are participating in LP Staking, this update means that you will need to go through bioauthentication again to ensure that you continue to earn staking rewards.
One thing to note is that this server update will not affect BotBasher verification, nor will it affect the Mainnet BioAuthentication for validators. The update and server reset for BotBasher will happen on Friday (Dec 8), and if you are a validator, the reset happened on Thursday, November 30th, 2023 (so if you have not re-authenticated you should do so ASAP).
We understand that this reset is very time-sensitive, and we will make a quick announcement before the reset is initiated so that everyone is ready to re-authenticate as soon as possible, so you will not miss out on rewards.
Here’s a guideline for you to stay synced and ready:
i. Wait for the official announcement from the engineering team.
ii. Shortly before the reset, the engineering team will notify you when they start working on the reset and will keep you updated as the process goes on.
iii. Once the reset is completed, there will be an announcement so that you can start the authentication immediately.
iv. Please remember that you will need a small amount of eHMND (5 HMND) in order to Bioauthenticate.
We are happy to share with you that the fee for Biomapping has been reduced to 5 HMND from 20 HMND and that this upgrade brings a qualitative improvement to the face scan process. For those of us who were just too unique and had to “re-scan” our faces a few times just to get it right, look forward to a much higher chance of getting it scanned on the first try!
