Yesterday the petrol warning light came on in my car. Did the warning light cause the fuel tank to become empty? Of course not. The tank ran empty first, then the light came on. In other words, the warning light is the symptom or consequence of the empty tank.
Symptoms do not cause disease, they are the body's signal that something is wrong. The tissue becomes diseased first, then the symptoms arise. The symptoms are the answer to the problem and indicate the body is in an active state of healing.
Elevated blood sugar doesn't cause diabetes, it is the symptom / consequence.
High cholesterol doesn't cause heart disease, it is the symptom / consequence.
Neurochemical imbalance doesn't cause depression, it is the symptom / consequence.
Dysbiosis doesn't cause gastrointestinal disease, it is the symptom / consequence.
Germs don't cause disease, they are the symptom / consequence.
Time to stop blaming the body's warning & healing response as the cause of disease.

Metabolic Disease: The Hidden Hand of Toxicity
Sign up here: https://www.humanley.com/metabolic-disease-webinar
Join me next Wednesday, the 16th of November at 6 PM for a free live webinar.
Metabolic diseases (obesity, diabetes and cardiovascular disease) are rapidly becoming one of the most significant burdens of disease, not only in Australia, but the Western world. In fact, the incidence of these diseases has increased almost 10-fold in the last 5 decades. A number of factors have been wrongfully implicated in the development and progression of metabolic disease in recent times including saturated fat, cholesterol and sugar. Consequently, our focus on these relatively benign factors has overshadowed the potentially true cause, toxicity.
This webinar aims to;
1. Dispel the common misconceptions that saturated fat, cholesterol and sugar are the cause of metabolic disease
2. Review the current scientific evidence implicating toxins such as persistent organic pollutants in the pathogenesis of metabolic disease
3. Highlight the major sources of environmental and dietary toxin exposure
4. Provide practical suggestions around how to reduce exposure to toxins and explore various detoxification strategies
Hope to see you there!

In 1962, an experiment was conducted to try & infect the skin of healthy participants with the fungus, Candida albicans.
Everything was done to infect the skin, including abrading or scarifying the skin & then applying a thick layer of the fungus. In no instance did an infection occur.
The only time an infection occurred was when a thick layer of Candida was applied to the skin, sprayed with saline solution & then covered by an occlusive dressing and left for several days. Once the dressing was removed, the skin healed within a matter of days.
The authors concluded "If the site was not covered, even if massive numbers of organisms were applied daily for 7 days, infection didn't occur. Mere contamination of the skin with this organism is not sufficient to produce infection under ordinary conditions".
This experiment is touted as proof that Candida causes skin infections. What do you think?

Sometimes the most simple interventions are the most effective.
In this case report, a young woman resolved her depression by simply swimming in open water once a week1.
Anthropologists did not find a single case of depression when they visited native tribes like the Kaluli people of Papua New Guinea, the Ik of Uganda or the Toraja of Indonesia2.
Depression is a consequence of modernity. It is a symptom of existing in a broken Western society whilst also living incongruently with who we really are.

What causes diabetes, obesity & cardiovascular disease (ie metabolic disease)?
Some people say it's from eating too many 'calories' or consuming too much sugar or fat. Others say it's due to a lack of exercise, or thyroid dysfunction, or genetics.
Well what if I told you it's probably none of those things? What if I told you that all of those things are distractions, drawing our focus away from the true underlying causes?
If you want to find out what I think is causing metabolic disease, make sure to sign up for my free webinar, presented live, tomorrow night Wednesday the 16th of November at 6 PM AEST. Sign up here. A recording will be available.

Mycobacterium leprae is the bacteria said to be the cause of leprosy. Researcher's have found that this bacteria may be able to regenerate liver tissue and improve it's function.
The article says "It appears the leprosy bug is rewinding the developmental clock in the liver. Fully grown liver cells are metabolic powerhouses with hundreds of jobs in the body. But the bacteria are taking them back a stage - like becoming a teenager again - where they can rapidly increase in number before maturing back into adulthood".
What's really going on when someone has leprosy? Is the bacteria there to cause disease, or is it the consequence of an underlying problem? If the bacteria does cause disease, where are the controlled experiments to prove it?
Could the bacteria be attempting to maintain homeostasis and assist the body by helping it respond to a toxic input via augmenting liver function?
Much to ponder.
What do you think?

This article titled "Superbug fight 'needs farmers to reduce antibiotic use'" was published by the BBC yesterday.
In the article they say "Routinely using antibiotics in livestock can lead to bacteria becoming resistant and such 'superbugs' could spread to humans" and "Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) has been described by the World Health Organisation as "one of the biggest threats to global health, food security, and development today."
What's really going on with antibiotic resistance? Is it possible that the bacteria aren't becoming resistant per se? Could the bacteria actually be there for an essential reason?
In Episode 60 of the Humanley podcast, Dr. Thomas Dykstra explained that insects and fungus "infect" plants in order to break down the toxic insecticides, herbicides and fungicides sprayed on them. The insects convert the pesticides in to non-toxic substances. These pesticides are initially so toxic to the insects, that it kills them. Over time however, they become better at metabolising the poisons and are able to clean up the mess without dying. Could a similar phenomenon be occurring when it comes to so called "antibiotic resistant" bacteria?

We've been told the jabs saved the world & without them, hundreds of millions would have died. According to our leaders, the only thing we could do was shut down the world & inject every person on earth.
We are also told more than 70% of the world has been v@xd. It is said that the pandemic would not end unless v@x rates were very high. According to TIME magazine, less than one quarter of people living in developing countries have received 1 dose.
Question 1: The majority of the world's population live in developing countries. How can 70% of the worlds population be jabbed, if less than 24% of people in developing countries haven't even received 1 dose? Can someone show me the math here?
Question 2: How come 75% of people in developing countries haven't been wiped out? They are unjabbed, malnourished, impoverished, have limited access to basic health care etc.
Surely the virus should have decimated them? How did they survive such a highly infectious and lethal germ?
