Halfway to the Bar! โ๏ธ๐
Three years down, one to go! Our journey through law school has been intense, but today, we pause to celebrate how far we've come. From late-night readings to courtroom dreams, every step has shaped us into the legal minds of tomorrow.
Here's to the road aheadโfilled with challenges, victories, and the pursuit of justice! ๐ฅ๐

๐ The Law Studentsโ Circle | Peers Discussion Hub ๐
Once upon a time, in the crowded halls of our faculty, we all satโalone, yet together. Books open, minds racing, yet something vital was missing: each other.
Studying law isnโt just about words on a page; itโs about debating, questioning, and understanding. A thought left unspoken is a lesson half-learned. A case unheard is a truth buried deep.
โจ Hereโs my gift to you: a vibrant space where knowledge isnโt just storedโitโs shared! A place where questions ignite debates, where your strengths uplift others, and their insights fill your gaps.
๐ I was once top scorer of the main campus, but now, my portal says that I'm having a CGPA of 3.65. Hopefully, I'll make it 3.72 - 3.74 of CGPA by this semester. Hey, you get this too! We'll motivate each other.
Welcome to Peers Discussion!
A platform to teach and be taught. A chance to sharpen your voice, build confidence, and expand your mind. Together, weโll push beyond our limits!
๐ Introducing the Peers Discussion Program:
Join us in this dynamic space where you can:
โข Teach what you know and solidify your understanding.
โข Learn from others and gain fresh perspectives.
โข Build confidence in public speaking and articulation.
โข Identify knowledge gaps by seeing different approaches to the same material.
โข Stay motivated during those overwhelming study moments.
โข Forge stronger bonds with your classmatesโbecause letโs face it, youโll be spending the next few years together, and having a supportive network is priceless.
๐ But hereโs the catch: This program thrives on YOUR participation! Itโs not just about joining; itโs about being active, collaborative, and generous with your knowledge. Share what you know, ask questions, and support one another. Remember, success is a team effort!
๐๏ธ How It Works:
โข Biweekly discussions throughout the semester, ramping up to weekly or even daily sessions as exams approach.
โข Moderators will guide the discussions and keep us on track.
โข All essential course materials, follow-ups, and motivational boosts will be shared regularly in our Telegram group.
๐ The door is open. Will you step in?
For 2nd year classes: [https://t.me/Peers_Discussion_Hub]
For 3rd year classes: [https://t.me/Exam_challenge]

From Adwa to Today โ Honoring Our Heritage Through Service!
The victory of Adwa was not just a military triumph; it was a testament to unity, resilience, and a collective commitment to a greater cause. Inspired by this spirit, the Hawassa University Law Students Association organized a Campus Cleaning Campaignโa social action that reflects our duty to uphold the values of hard work and unity in service to our community.
This event was not just about cleaning our surroundings; it was about giving back to those who labor daily to keep our campus clean and fostering a spirit of collective responsibility among students. Just as our forefathers and foremothers stood together against adversity, we stood together in action, proving that the legacy of Adwa is not just a memory but a force that still drives us today.
The spirit of Adwa lives onโnot just in history books but in the way we serve, lead, and uplift our communities. We are the generation that carries the torch forward!

Today, I want to honor an extraordinary woman in my lifeโ Zeyneb Temam, my mother.
Despite overwhelming family responsibilities, despite the challenges of raising three small children, despite the weight of an unsupportive partner, despite my own dependence as a university studentโshe stands strong. She is the bridge in our family, the negotiator in tough times, the giver of hope when everything seems lost.
She is proof that strength isnโt about having an easy life; itโs about carrying the weight of others and still finding a way to smile.
To everyone reading this:
Who is the strong woman in your life? Your mother, sister, wife, friend? Take a moment to celebrate them, share their story, and let them know they are seen.
And if youโre looking for books that capture the strength of women, here are a few recommendations:
๐ Beneath the Lionโs Gaze by Maaza Mengiste โ A powerful Ethiopian novel about resilience and sacrifice.
๐ A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini โ A moving story of Afghan womenโs endurance.
๐ Becoming by Michelle Obama โ A memoir of strength, ambition, and grace.
๐ Half the Sky by Nicholas Kristof & Sheryl WuDunn โ Stories of women overcoming oppression.
๐ I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai โ The journey of a young girl who stood up for education.
Tag a woman who inspires you. Letโs celebrate them today!
