What does SOPR tell us?
Taking a look at the short-term and long-term holders SOPR, we can witness that a certain pattern may be reoccurring.
As you can observe, during last year's market crash, we experienced a period which the short-term holders were realizing losses constantly. Near the end of this period, we witnessed a massive rise in LTH SOPR which scared many retail traders that the long-term holders are also starting to sell. A lot of these moved coins were also deposited into the exchanges. However, it seemed like a bear trap, because the bottom was in and the market rallied to a new ATH.
Now, the same pattern seems to be forming again but this time, the massive spike in LTH SOPR was because of the Bitfinex hacked coins being moved after a long time. Either way, bottom seems to be near, if it is not in already.
