We can see today that Gold is still moving in a sideways range, and this kind of market usually tends to sweep liquidity on both sides. Earlier, we saw the price briefly push through our stop-loss area, which looks like a liquidity grab rather than a true breakout. This is quite common when the market is ranging, price takes stops from both buyers and sellers before making the real move.
Even though the stop was taken, the overall structure didn’t change much, and eventually the price moved back toward the expected target. It’s a good reminder that in a sideways market, liquidity sweeps on both ends are normal behavior.

Gold is currently moving in a short-term sideways range on the M15 timeframe after the previous sharp drop. Instead of continuing the trend, the price is now consolidating and building liquidity inside a defined range.
From an SMC perspective:
Price is creating minor CHoCH movements inside the range, but there is no strong BOS confirming a new trend yet.
Some small FVG areas appear around 5095–5105, but they tend to get filled quickly since the market is currently balanced.
Most importantly:
Since the market is ranging, it's better to reduce position size and manage risk carefully.
Sideways markets often sweep stop-losses on both sides before the real move begins, so patience is key until a clear breakout happens.
