Silver beats Bitcoin: +600% since 2017, price soars above 115 USD

The silver price briefly jumped to over 117 USD per ounce – a new all-time high.

Since the end of 2017, silver has risen by +600% and overtaken Bitcoin, which achieved around +440% in the same period. Gold "only" gained over +300%

The hype is also evident in trading: The iShares Silver Trust recorded a daily volume of 32 billion USD – more than large stock ETFs. According to Bloomberg Intelligence, momentum, psychological market levels, and industrial demand are driving this. Bitcoin, on the other hand, is faltering: 1.7 billion USD of ETF outflows in five days are putting a damper on the price.
