On the morning of Friday, 3 October 2025, The Ministry of National Defence of the Kingdom of Cambodia has facilitated the Interim Observer Team (IOT), visited Prey Chan Village, O' Bei Choan Commune, Ou Chrov District, Banteay Meanchey Province in order to observe, verify, and report on the border situation after the Ceasefire came into effect.

The ministry would like to inform the general public, as well as national and international media outlets, that:

On the morning of October 3, 2025, the secretariat teams of the Cambodia-Thailand Regional Border Committee (RBC)— Military Region 4 on the Cambodian side and Army Region 2 on the Thai side—held a meeting at the Cambodia-Thailand Liaison Group meeting hall, O' Smach International Checkpoint, Oddar Meanchey Province. The Cambodian secretariat team was led by Brigadier General Nit Narong, Deputy Chief of Staff of Military Region 4, and the Thai secretariat team was led by Brigadier General Kamphanat Waphansuk, Chief of Staff of Army Region 2.

It should be noted that this meeting was held to discuss the date and content of the upcoming meeting.
