هل تعلم أن اسم ولاية "كاليفورنيا" الامريكية ذو أصول عربية؟!

اسم "كاليفورنيا" مستوحى من رواية إسبانية من القرن السادس عشر بعنوان "مغامرات إسبلانديان" "Las Sergas de Esplandián". تتحدث هذه الرواية عن ملكة سمراء تدعى "خلافيا" Calafia تحكم مملكة من المحاربات الأمازون وتتحالف مع قوات المسلمين في حصار مدينة القسطنطينية.
الاسم "خلافيا" هو تحوير إسباني لكلمة "خليفة" العربية، و"كاليفورنيا" تعني مجازياً مملكة أو أرض خلافيا، أو ببساطة خاليفورنيا! :D

Norway simply means ‘The Way North’, or ‘The Northern Way’, making reference to an old Viking route.
