How to Create Your First Telegram Bot

Creating a Telegram bot is simple and only takes a few minutes.

Step 1
Open Telegram and search for BotFather (the official Telegram bot for creating and managing bots).
Step 2
Start a chat with BotFather and send:
/newbot
Step 3
Enter a name for your bot.
Example:
My Awesome Bot

Step 4
Choose a unique username that ends with bot.
Example:
myawesomebot

Step 5
BotFather will generate a Bot Token.

Keep this token safe, as it allows your application to communicate with your bot.

Congratulations! Your first Telegram bot has been created.

What is a Telegram Bot Token?

When you create a bot using BotFather, you'll receive a unique Bot Token.
