حسن جوهرچی فارغ التحصیل رشته عکاسی بود. او با بازی در سریال "درپناه تو " در سال ۷۳ به شهرت رسید.
اولین بازی مطرح او در سینما در سال ۱۳۷۰ با فیلم "برخورد" به کارگردانی سیروس الوند بود.
آخرین بازیگریش در تلویزیون در سریال " آرام می‌گیریم" و آخرین کار سینمایی او "آبی" بود.
حسن جوهرچی مدتی هم در برنامه‌ای به نام "ماه عسل" مجری بود.
