We are deeply concerned about the graphic(s) comparing HKprotestors and US protestors. We should strive to express sympathy for those who are hurting coz of popo, NOT to promote or create material that sparks comparison and competition. We can’t compare and we shouldn’t latch ourselves as well to their protests. As we have completely different backgrounds and different reasons, it would be extremely easy for locals to fall into the trap thus enraging people unknowingly.
We have been working silently alongside w everyone since August and really hate to see our Twitter frontline losing support. We don’t believe in big stage but we also think that HKers might not understand US culture and history enough to be sensitive about this. So we beg the graphics people and the 文宣 pic ppl to stop and think for a moment.
