一名地盤學徒於去年8月被搜獲棒球棍及辣椒噴霧等物品，昨日於粉嶺裁判法院被重囚18個月。

裁判官蘇文隆判刑時指出，辣椒噴霧會灼傷他人眼睛及皮膚，惟應沒有後遺症，但棒球棍用作揮擊頭部或身體則會做成永久傷害，後果嚴重。

辯方於求情時亦透露被告未婚妻預產期在9月，希望判處緩刑，但未被蘇文隆接納。

被告被控《簡易程序治罪條例》下的「管有攻擊性武器」罪，最高刑罰為監禁2年。
