Foreigner Pepper-Sprayed by Police
A foreigner was pepper-sprayed in Causeway Bay MTR station. He was treated by first-aid volunteers. The foreigner said that police should not have used violence against everyone as civilians had protested peacefully. He also show appreciation to first-aid volunteers.

Condemn Suppression of Freedom of Assembly by the Hong Kong Police Force
Civil Rights Observer (CRO) condemns the Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) abuse of power to suppress freedom of assembly. The HKPF ordered a premature end to the procession and assembly organised by Civil Human Rights Front, which had obtained a letter of no objection from the Commission of Police for holding the demonstration.
Taking part in peaceful assembly is a fundamental human right enshrined in the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the Basic Law of Hong Kong. According to international human rights law and the case law decided by the Court of Final Appeal, police owe a positive duty to facilitate peaceful demonstration.
Both United Nations and European Court of Human Rights had stated in report and court decisions that the use of violence by a small number of participants in an assembly does not automatically turn an otherwise peaceful assembly into a non-peaceful assembly, and any intervention should aim to deal with the particular individuals involved rather than dispersing the entire event. Any measures that interfere with freedom of assembly must be legitimate and proportionate.
CRO believes that the HKPF’s decision to call off the demonstration today is unlawful and violated the right to freedom of assembly and freedom of expression. Suppression of peaceful assembly by the HKPF will only further escalate the social conflict in Hong Kong.

The march is now arriving at Sheung Shui Station. The police are asking people to disperse immediately and have raised the Blue Flag on the footbridge.
🔰由於今日為規模較小的地區遊行，加上警方已大致完成布袋陣，請提防防暴突然從四方八面快速推進及圍捕。
As this was a small local demonstration, with fairly complete police preparations, please avoid situations where riot police may suddenly push forward from all direct and surround you.

People subdued outside Sheung Shui Centre are gradually being taken away. Riot police with shields are rapidly deploying near Metropolis Plaza, but nobody has been seen to be arrested. The crowd are swearing at them.
🔰新都廣場附近被圍捕的民眾仍被檢查隨身物品中，未知屬扣查還是拘捕。
A crowd that was surrounded by Metropolis Plaza are still being searched. It is not known if they are just being detained or are being arrested.
