有調查機構在過去兩日，成功訪問7百多名保守黨黨員，結果顯示卓慧思的支持度有百分之62，辛偉誠的支持度只有百分之38，兩人的支持度相差24個百分點。另外，較多受訪者相信，卓慧思會比辛偉誠成為保守黨一名好的領袖。

【獨立媒體】去年張家朗在東京奧運花劍個人賽中奪金，大批市民在觀塘商場觀看直播，有人疑在頒獎禮播放國歌時發出噓聲及叫囂，警方經調查後拘捕一名網媒記者，涉嫌在國歌奏出期間高舉「港英旗」，成為《國歌法》實施後首名被捕者，事隔近一年，遭正式起訴侮辱國歌罪。案件今午（22日）於觀塘法院首次提堂，被告暫毋須答辯，由於辯方需時向控方索取文件，裁判官劉淑嫻批准押後至9月9日再訊，被告獲准保釋。
辯方律師陳奕勤在庭上指，被告在被捕後，於警方搜身過程中遭受歧視性和不恰當的對待，冀法庭現階段記錄在案。
控罪指被告於2021年7月26日在觀塘創紀之城五期APM商場內，公開及故意侮辱國歌，即播放中國國歌期間高舉香港英國殖民地時期旗幟。（全文）

7月7日，中國總理李克強在福建主持召開東南沿海省份（包括福建、上海、江蘇、浙江、廣東）主要負責人座談會時，曾透露過一組數據：東南沿海5省市經濟體量佔全國1/3以上，財政收入佔比近4成，在地方對中央財政淨上繳中貢獻近8成，有力支撐了國家財力和中央財政對中西部地區轉移支付。
為此李克強要求，東南沿海5省市「要繼續挑起國家發展、穩經濟的大樑，發揮保障國家財力的主力作用。」但是從上半年的經濟數據來看，東南5省（市）的情況也不樂觀。
經濟增速方面，5省市中只有福建（4.6%）超過2.5%的全國水平，浙江則勉強達到平均線，其餘廣東（2%）、江蘇（1.6%）、上海（-5.7%）均排名倒數前8。
而比GDP增速更令人感到不安的，是這些省市的財政情況。
上半年，地方一般公共預算收入金額合計57,558億元，同比增長4.7%。而東南5省市中，僅有福建（6.7%）的收入增速達到了平均值，但也僅排在第16名。另外4省市，收入增速均低於4.7%的及格線。
其中廣東（-0.5%）、江蘇（-5.8%）、上海（-12.9%）三地更是錄得負值，佔了全部財政收入負增長省市總量（7個）的接近一半。
與之相反，財政收入增速超過15%的，幾乎全部位於泛西北地區。除了前面提到過的內蒙、山西、新疆，還包括陝西34.7%、寧夏23.6%、青海16.5%、甘肅15.9%。
可以預見，今年的中央政府的財政赤字肯定會大幅上升。

【鄭州暴雨事故一周年】
【民眾獻花悼念受阻】
台灣中央社報道，周三下午2時許，有鄭州民眾在社群平台微博發文指，自己中午訂了兩束花，打算下班後去隧道旁悼念死者。後來花店店主回電，說不能把花賣給他，因為當天鄭州全市的花店都不允許將鮮花出售給試圖悼念720的人，所有訂購鮮花的人都會被逐一打電話確認。
這名鄭州居民諷刺當局的做法是「高瞻遠矚，未雨綢繆，只可惜不是在去年」。
這篇微博經過轉發後，不少網友表示不可置信，並親自「以身試法」。微信公眾號「豫廣」周三晚間發文表示，他在網上訂了一束菊花要送到鄭州地鐵沙口路站出口，半小時後外送員來電，表示地鐵口有公安。
外送員依照指示，將那束菊花放在地鐵口不遠處的地上，拆掉了套在花束上的黑色塑料袋。他隨後表示，附近有專門檢查的人員，有人來把花收走。
這篇文章的留言中，有網友說，自己在鄭州訂的花直接被退單了；也有人周三深夜前往，發現值守人員還在，獻花未果。
更多網友則留言表示：「我就納悶了，為甚麼不能送花不能悼念」，並揶揄稱：「鄭州不能惡意祭奠惡意送花」。
