The eternal drama.

It is otherwise an underground work with screening at science festivals. So unless the director leaks out the original high-res, following are the steps you can take to ensure that it remains with you, if not for a DMCA takedown (#censorship).

Movie is available on YT. I have saved it.
Step 1: Scrape 1080 without sound (example: keepvid, savefromnet or ytvideodownloader, whichever gives you the best quality)
Step 2: Scrape audio at maximum bitrate (same as step 1).
Step 3: Scrape EN and RU subtitles (opensubtitles or yify subs).
Step 4: Join AV with favorite tools (Adobe Premier Rush, or Sony) *

*don't use windows moviemaker. It is just like the Windows operating system, but much worse.

The original documentary is in Polish.

Use KM player 64, for double subtitles. English subtitles maybe delayed by 10 seconds. Use '[' ']' keys to delay or advance for subtitle synchronisation.

Upto 10 yrs. sensors and biosensors for the electrochemical determination of heavy metals using graphene and graphene-based derivatives are critically reviewed and a meta-analysis is performed. Additionally, toxicity of heavy metals and their contributions to sustainable development goals proposed by the UN are also discussed.

Are PGM-based (Bio)sensors ready for point-of-care diagnostics?

This systematic review examines how personal glucose meters (PGMs) are repurposed as portable, low-cost biosensors to detect environmental pollutants like pesticides and heavy metals. It highlights the challenge of making sensitive lab methods viable for real-world applicability criteria for field-ready devices.

From time to time YouTube stops working especially after using VPN. This time it was worse and I spent 5 hours trying to figure out the problem. Strangely all sites worked except for YouTube. Additionally, the problem was the same in Edge, Opera and Yandex browsers. In the process I understood the following:

1. In Windows, the hosts file may contain additions that block access to sites. We often use these in illegal registres. For example, after cracking a software to prevent it from communicating online. This was not the case this time.
2. There are SSL handshakes which may fail during connection. I tried resetting, but it didn't work.
3. Cleared all browsing history and tried incognito mode. YouTube still didn't load.
4. I flushed the DNS and did other internal and router resets. Nothing worked.

Finally, I read an interesting bit of advice - to try Firefox. Apparantly Firefox doesn't use chromium. It worked.

I now ported back to Firefox after 12 years. I wish I had done this earlier. I was under the impression that all's well that googled well. But Firefox did the trick. It is smoother and has Ubuntu style tab layout. But quite frankly I would have ported to Microsoft Edge if it meant YouTube could work.

Also immediately I changed flags in Firefox for window timeouts, otherwise there is a delay in going full screen in YouTube.

YouTube now works in all browsers again, but once Firefox. Always Firefox. :)

How to tackle antibiotic resistance?

Increasing antibiotic use leads to antimicrobial resistance, demanding rapid and affordable detection strategies. In this systematic review and meta-analysis a decade of graphene-based electrochemical sensors for antibiotics detection and challenges associated with these (bio)sensors are evaluated.
