(context: i made it as a comment on a video which talked about a feeling that i have often, the one when i realize that i live, that i am alive and of the grandiosity of the universe. so i just wrote a part of the stream of thoughts that i usually have when that happens)

ok so, this is what i think on the idea that "we should let immigrants die because they are homophobes/sexists/whatever 🤣😂🤣😂🤣"
comment (made on this video) (of an average libleft hitlerite):
my reply:
Homophobia is not a religious-specific thing, it is a common denominator for all reactionary ideologies, which include: conservative christians, conservative atheists, and conservative muslims. Some right-wing parties may seem to be "progressive" or "neutral" on some LGBT-related issues, but they are only as long as they can get more votes from that. They do not care about LGBT at all, since it is always in their own interest to push further right each time they gain enough terrain to do so, and they will always try to step back on anything that's not yet widely socially accepted (the anti-trans campaigns here are absolutely insane). You could easily see that with the overturn of roe v wade: most women who voted republican would have never expected that such a basic right would have been removed under their eyes, but it has actually been removed, because conservatives were given enough terrain to make such a radical (and reactionary) change. This is why politicians are far more dangerous and subtle than any immigrant will ever be: because they have the actual power to change the laws. The current scare on immigration also largely works as a scapegoat: they will blame everything the electorate hates on the immigrants, and they will blame that as an inherent problem to being an immigrant, rather than it being caused by the material conditions that those individuals live in (if they come from poor countries with no money and no way to get an high paying job, they will have to rely on crime).
Homonationalism (the idea that you just presented) is therefore also completely flawed in nature, since it poses the problem of reactionary ideology into the essence of being an immigrant itself rather than the material conditions that one lives in. What I mean is: if your politics (culture, and society) work in order to ghettoize and ostracize (which is the case of this video) those people rather than including them, they will inevitably repeat and foster the same reactionary ideas that their parents have brought (not that it is a novelty in the west, you can see far worse shit here). If, instead, your politics worked in order to include them, they would in a matter of a really few generations integrate and mostly abandon those ideas (if you also include education at school), granted that they do not live in an homophobic environment here, which is often the case, and which is often the reason why it is often also italians who commit hate crimes. This is why anti-immigration and anti-integration policies don't work, will never work, and will only be beneficial to the right's interests (which are arguably worse than any thing an immigrant could ever do alone).

Ahhhh, yes, the religion of peace.
I'm from Italy, I'm gay and I'm left-wing, but the only issue on which I agree with conservatives is immigration, especially from muslim countries. I want the EU to import as little muslims as possible, and this is why.

excerpt from that wikipedia link:
The term was originally proposed by the researcher in gender studies Jasbir K. Puar in 2007 to refer to the processes by which neoliberal and capitalist power structures line up with the claims of the LGBT community in order to justify racist, xenophobic and aporophobic positions, especially against Muslims, basing them on prejudices that immigrants are homophobic and that Western society is egalitarian.[2][1] Thus, sexual diversity and LGBT rights are used to sustain political stances against immigration, becoming increasingly common among far-right parties.[3] In Terrorist Assemblages, Puar describes homonationalism as a "form of sexual exceptionalism [dependent on the] segregation and disqualification of racial and sexual others"[4] from the dominant image of a particular society
