An estimated 20,000 patriotic protesters have flooded the streets of Australia's major cities to demand freedom of speech and vent their anger at the left-wing Labor government's "hate speech" and "hate group" laws.

Higher quality version of Mark Latham's speech in Sydney where he called for 18C to be abolished along with Chris Minns' "hate speech laws", and spoke out against the banning of political parties.

Even if they were certain the Commonwealth will win, they understand how unpopular these laws are and how bad the banning of a political party looks. I reckon there will be minimal media coverage of the High Court case either way — whether the Commonwealth or the party wins.

Some stakeholder has obviously coordinated a media blackout on the case — probably ASIO or Home Affairs. Only The Noticer is reporting on it.

New opinion from Zac Brandon on the comments made Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Labor in recent days accusing One Nation of being "dangerous" and "platforming extremists", which he warns could be laying the groundwork for a hate group ban.

Labor is obviously angling to ban One Nation under the same laws they just passed to ban the White Australia Party. First minister for Foreign Affairs Penny Wong said One Nation is a threat to national security now the AG is practically just saying it:

The High Court battle to stop the government from banning political groups and parties is set to begin in 6 days.

Despite mass rallies dominating Australia’s cities, there’s been a total media blackout on this.

One Nation and the centre-right merchant brigade want to believe this is “just for the extremists”. Apparently they’re too mentally lazy to read the legislation and don’t want to listen to anyone who has read it.

Everyone seems to think they’re “strategically avoiding” the subject to save their own skin, but these laws are designed to give the presiding government unprecedented dictatorial powers.

If these laws stand, there won’t be a legitimate right-wing that’s legally sustainable in Australia. There will only be controlled opposition.

Recent statements made by the Prime Minister and the Attorney General demonstrate that threatening to ban One Nation by associating them with “extremists” will be a coercive measure taken to influence their position and policies.

If you don’t work within the framework they build, all the Labor party needs to do is say you’re extremist or associated with extremists and they can list you and shut you down. They don’t even need verifiable proof. And there’s no courts or appeals process.

This High Court fight beginning on September 8th will be the only chance Australians have to defeat these laws while they’re still green.

It’s pretty embarrassing that anyone on the right thinks they’re gonna somehow remain exempt from these laws, without playing directly into Labor’s hands.
