⬅️ اِحْفَظُوا هٰذَا الأثَرَ، وَتَدَبَّرُوا مَعَانِيَهُ، وَانْشُرُوهُ؛ فَفِيهِ تَذْكِرَةٌ وَعِبْرَة.

📚 قال الإمامُ البُخاريُّ – رَحِمَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى – في "صحيحه":

حدَّثَنا عبدُ اللهِ بنُ صَبّاحٍ، قال: حدَّثَنا مُعْتَمِرٌ، قال: سَمِعْتُ عَوْفًا، يُحَدِّثُ عن أبي المِنْهَالِ العَنَزِيِّ، أنَّه سَمِعَ أبا بَرْزَةَ الأسْلَمِيَّ – رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ – يقولُ:

"إِنَّ اللهَ نَعَشَكُمْ بِالإِسْلَامِ، وَبِمُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ."

▫️معاني الكلمات:
- نَعَشَكُم: أي رَفَعَكُم، أَقامَ شَأنَكُم، وأَحياكُم بعدَ ذُلٍّ وجَهلٍ.
- بِالإِسلام: الدِّينِ الّذي بَعَثَ اللهُ بهِ مُحَمّدًا ﷺ.
- وبِمُحَمّدٍ ﷺ: أي بِرِسالَتِهِ، وسِيرَتِهِ، وهَدْيِهِ، فاتَّبِعوهُ ولا تبدعوا.

هٰذا القَولُ من أبي بَرزَةَ رضيَ اللهُ عنه تَذكيرٌ لِلأُمّةِ بأنَّ عِزَّها ورِفْعَتَها إنّما جاءَت بالإِسلامِ وبِاتِّباعِ النَّبيِّ ﷺ، وأنَّهُ قبلَ الإسلامِ كانوا في حالٍ منَ الجَهلِ، والضَّعفِ، والفُرْقَةِ، حتّى بَعَثَ اللهُ نَبِيَّهُ الكَريم، فبدَّلَ حالَهُم.


➡️ Hold fast to this noble narration, reflect on its meanings, and share it— for it is a great reminder and a profound lesson.

📚 Imam al-Bukhārī (may Allah have mercy on him) recorded in his Ṣaḥīḥ:
ʿAbdullāh ibn Ṣabbāḥ narrated to us, saying: Muʿtamir narrated to us, saying: I heard ʿAwf reporting from Abū al-Minhāl al-ʿAnazī, that he heard Abū Barzah al-Aslamī (may Allah be pleased with him) say:

"Indeed, Allah raised you through Islam, and through Muḥammad ﷺ."

▫️Explanation of Key Terms:
- "Naʿashakum" (نَعَشَكُم): Meaning He raised you, revived you, honored you, and brought you out of humiliation and ignorance.
- "Through Islam": Refers to the religion that Allah sent with His final Messenger, Muḥammad ﷺ.
- "And through Muḥammad ﷺ": That is, through his message, his example, and his guidance—so follow him and do not innovate.

This profound statement from Abū Barzah (may Allah be pleased with him) serves as a timeless reminder to the Ummah that its honor and dignity were granted by Islam and by following the Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ. Before the advent of Islam, the people were in a state of ignorance, weakness, and division—until Allah sent His noble Prophet and transformed their condition entirely.

🎙الحمدُ للهِ الذي بنعمتِهِ تَتِمُّ الصالحاتُ.

فقد تم تعيينِ إمامِ السُّنَّةِ الشيخِ العلَّامةِ صالحِ بنِ فوزانَ الفوزان مفتيًا عامًّا للمملكةِ العربيَّةِ السعوديَّةِ، ورئيسًا لهيئةِ كبارِ العلماءِ، ورئيسًا عامًّا للرئاسةِ العامَّةِ للبحوثِ العلميَّةِ والإفتاءِ، بمرتبةِ وزيرٍ، وهو من أزهدِ العلماءِ في المناصبِ وأبعدِهم عنها نفسًا.

نُهَنِّئُ المسلمينَ عامَّةً، وأهلَ المملكةِ العربيَّةِ السعوديَّةِ خاصَّةً، باختيارِ فضيلةِ الشيخِ صالحِ بنِ فوزانَ الفوزان مفتيًا عامًّا للمملكةِ العربيَّةِ السعوديَّةِ.

نسألُ اللهَ العظيمَ أن يُوَفِّقَهُ ويسدِّدَ خُطاهُ، ويجعلَ عملَهُ خالصًا لوجهِهِ الكريمِ.

🎙All praise is due to Allah, by whose grace righteous deeds are perfected.

The Imam of the Sunnah, the eminent scholar Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān, has been appointed as the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Chairman of the Council of Senior Scholars, and the President of the General Presidency for Scholarly Research and Ifta, with the rank of Minister. He is known for his asceticism and humility, being among the scholars least desirous of worldly positions.

We extend our congratulations to all Muslims in general, and to the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular, on the appointment of Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān as the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

We ask Allah, the Almighty, to grant him success and steadfastness, and to make his efforts sincerely devoted to His Noble Countenance.

السَّلامُ عَلَيْكُم وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ،

▫️الحمدُ للهِ، وَالصَّلاةُ وَالسَّلامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ،
انْتَهَيْنَا يَوْمَ الأَرْبِعَاءِ الْمُنْصَرِمِ مِنَ التَّعْلِيقِ عَلَى كِتَابِ «مَعَارِجِ القَبُولِ بِشَرْحِ سُلَّمِ الوُصُولِ إِلَى عِلْمِ الأُصُولِ فِي التَّوْحِيدِ»، وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ بِتَارِيخِ الثَّلَاثِينَ مِنْ شَهْرِ رَبِيعِ الآخِرِ لِعَامِ ١٤٤٧هـ، مِنْ هِجْرَةِ النَّبِيِّ الأَمِينِ، صَلَوَاتُ رَبِّي وَسَلَامُهُ عَلَيْهِ.

وَلِلَّهِ وَحْدَهُ الحَمْدُ وَالمِنَّةُ.
وَاللهُ المُسْتَعَانُ، وَعَلَيْهِ التُّكْلانُ.

وَنَبْدَأُ – إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ تَعَالَى – اللَّيْلَةَ السَّاعَةَ السَّابِعَةَ مَسَاءً التَّعْلِيقَ عَلَى كِتَابِ «الدَّاءِ وَالدَّوَاءِ» لِلإِمَامِ ابْنِ القَيِّمِ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ تَعَالَى.

▫️All praise is due to Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.

Last Wednesday, we completed our commentary on the book “Ma‘ārij al-Qabūl bi-Sharḥ Sullam al-Wuṣūl ilā ʿIlm al-Uṣūl fī al-Tawḥīd.”
That was on the 30th of Rabi‘ al-Akhir, 1447 AH, from the Hijrah of the trustworthy Prophet—may the peace and blessings of my Lord be upon him.

All praise and thanks belong to Allah alone.
Allah is the One sought for help, and upon Him is our reliance.

Tonight, at approximately 7:00 p.m., in sha’ Allah, we will begin the commentary on the book “Al-Dā’ wa al-Dawā’” by Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy upon him.

📚 بُشْرَى لأهل السُّنَّة

[[فَضْلُ مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى السُّنَّةِ]]


المَقْصُودُ بِـ (السُّنَّةِ) عِنْدَ السَّلَفِ الصَّالِحِ وَأَئِمَّةِ الإِسْلَامِ الأَوَائِلِ: العَقِيدَةُ الصَّحِيحَةُ الَّتِي كَانَ عَلَيْهَا الصَّحَابَةُ وَالتَّابِعُونَ وَأَتْبَاعُ التَّابِعِينَ وَمَنْ سَارَ عَلَى نَهْجِهِمْ، وَتَرْكُ البِدَعِ وَالأَهْوَاءِ وَالعَقَائِدِ المُخَالِفَةِ.

قَالَ مُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ:
«دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أَبِي وَأَنَا مُنْكَسِرٌ، فَقَالَ: مَا لَكَ؟
قُلْتُ: مَاتَ صَدِيقٌ لِي.
قَالَ: مَاتَ عَلَى السُّنَّةِ؟
قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ.
قَالَ: فَلَا تَخَفْ عَلَيْهِ.»
📖 [شَرْحُ الاِعْتِقَادِ لِلَّالَكَائِي (٦١)]

وَقَالَ مُجَاهِدٌ:
«مَا أَدْرِي أَيُّ النِّعْمَتَيْنِ عَلَيَّ أَعْظَمُ: أَنْ هَدَانِيَ لِلإِسْلَامِ، أَوْ عَافَانِي مِنْ هَذِهِ الأَهْوَاءِ.»
📖 [مُسْنَدُ الدَّارِمِي (٣١٧)]
مقابلة بين نعمتين: الهداية للإسلام والعافية من الأهواء، وهذا الجمع يبرز أن الإسلام لا يَكمُل إلا بالسُّنّة الخالصة من البدعة.

وَقَالَ الفُضَيْلُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ:
«طُوبَى لِمَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى الإِسْلَامِ وَالسُّنَّةِ.»
📖 [شَرْحُ الاِعْتِقَادِ لِلَّالَكَائِي (٢٦٨)]

وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَوْنٍ:
«مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى الإِسْلَامِ وَالسُّنَّةِ؛ فَلَهُ بَشِيرٌ بِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ.»
📖 [شَرْحُ الاِعْتِقَادِ لِلَّالَكَائِي (٦٠)]

وَقَالَ الإِمَامُ مَالِكٌ:
«مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى السُّنَّةِ فَلْيَبْشِرْ،
مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى السُّنَّةِ فَلْيَبْشِرْ،
مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى السُّنَّةِ فَلْيَبْشِرْ.»

وَقَالَ الإِمَامُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ:
«مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى الإِسْلَامِ وَالسُّنَّةِ؛ مَاتَ عَلَى الخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ.»
📖 [سِيَرُ أَعْلَامِ النُّبَلَاءِ (١١/٢٦٩)]

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ المَرُّوذِيُّ:
قُلْتُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ – أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ –:
مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى الإِسْلَامِ وَالسُّنَّةِ مَاتَ عَلَى خَيْرٍ؟
فَقَالَ لِي:
«اِسْكُتْ! مَنْ مَاتَ عَلَى الإِسْلَامِ وَالسُّنَّةِ؛ مَاتَ عَلَى الخَيْرِ كُلِّهِ.»
📖 [الوَرَعُ لِلْمَرُّوذِي (١٩٢)]

قَالَ طَلْحَةُ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ البَغْدَادِيُّ:
«وَافَقَ رُكُوبِي رُكُوبَ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ فِي السَّفِينِ، فَكَانَ يُطِيلُ السُّكُوتَ، فَإِذَا تَكَلَّمَ قَالَ:
اللَّهُمَّ أَمِتْنَا عَلَى الإِسْلَامِ وَالسُّنَّةِ.»
📖 [تَارِيخُ دِمَشْقَ لاِبْنِ عَسَاكِر (٥/٣٢٣)]

وَقَالَ الحَسَنُ بْنُ أَيُّوبٍ البَغْدَادِيُّ:
«قِيلَ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ: أَحْيَاكَ اللهُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللهِ.
فَقَالَ: عَلَى الإِسْلَامِ وَالسُّنَّةِ.»
📖 [تَارِيخُ دِمَشْقَ لاِبْنِ عَسَاكِر (٥/٣٢٣)]

وَقَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ عَوْنٍ:
«دَخَلْتُ مَعَ سَحْنُونٍ عَلَى ابْنِ القَصَّارِ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ،
فَقَالَ: مَا هَذَا القَلَقُ؟
فَقَالَ لَهُ: المَوْتُ وَالقُدُومُ عَلَى اللهِ.
فَقَالَ لَهُ سَحْنُونٌ:
أَلَسْتَ مُصَدِّقًا بِالرُّسُلِ، وَالبَعْثِ وَالحِسَابِ، وَالجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، وَأَنَّ أَفْضَلَ هَذِهِ الأُمَّةِ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ، وَأَنَّ القُرْآنَ كَلَامُ اللهِ غَيْرُ مَخْلُوقٍ، وَأَنَّ اللهَ يُرَى يَوْمَ القِيَامَةِ، وَأَنَّهُ عَلَى العَرْشِ اسْتَوَى، وَلَا تَخْرُجْ عَلَى الأَئِمَّةِ بِالسَّيْفِ وَإِنْ جَارُوا؟
قَالَ: إِي وَاللهِ.
فَقَالَ: مُتْ إِذَا شِئْتَ، مُتْ إِذَا شِئْتَ.»

فِي هَذَا كُلِّهِ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى أَنَّ مَنْ حَقَّقَ أُصُولَ الِاعْتِقَادِ، وَأَخْلَصَ التَّوْحِيدَ، فَلْيَطْمَئِنَّ عِنْدَ الْمَوْتِ، إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ.

نَسْأَلُ اللهَ – تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى – أَنْ يُحْيِيَنَا وَيُمِيتَنَا عَلَى التَّوْحِيدِ وَالسُّنَّةِ.

📚 Glad Tidings to the People of the Sunnah

‏[[The Virtue of Dying upon the Sunnah]]

What is meant by “the Sunnah” according to the righteous predecessors (al-salaf al-ṣāliḥ) and the early Imams of Islam is: the sound creed — the correct belief held by the Companions, the Followers, and those who followed them in excellence — and to abandon innovations, desires, and deviant doctrines

1. Muʿtamir ibn Sulaymān said: ‏“I entered upon my father while I was sorrowful.‏He asked, ‘What is wrong?’‏I said, ‘A friend of mine has died.’‏He said, ‘Did he die upon the Sunnah?’‏I said, ‘Yes.’‏He said, ‘Then do not fear for him.’”
📖 [Sharḥ al-Iʿtiqād by al-Lālakāʾī (61)]‏

2. Mujāhid said:‏“I do not know which of the two blessings upon me is greater: that He guided me to Islam, or that He protected me from these desires (innovations).”
📖 [Musnad al-Dārimī (317)]

3. Al-Fuḍayl ibn ʿIyāḍ said:
“Glad tidings (ṭūbā) to the one who dies upon Islam and the Sunnah.”
📖 [Sharḥ al-Iʿtiqād by al-Lālakāʾī (268)]

4. Ibn ʿAwn said:
“Whoever dies upon Islam and the Sunnah has a bearer of glad tidings for every good.”
📖 [Sharḥ al-Iʿtiqād by al-Lālakāʾī (60)]

5. Imām Mālik said:
“Whoever dies upon the Sunnah, let him rejoice.
Whoever dies upon the Sunnah, let him rejoice.
Whoever dies upon the Sunnah, let him rejoice.”

6. Imām Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal said:
“Whoever dies upon Islam and the Sunnah dies upon all good.”

8. Abū Bakr al-Marwadhī said:
I said to Abū ʿAbdillāh — Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal —:
“Whoever dies upon Islam and the Sunnah, does he die upon good?”
He said to me,
“Be silent! Whoever dies upon Islam and the Sunnah dies upon all good.”

9. Ṭalḥah ibn ʿUbaydillāh al-Baghdādī said:
“I happened to embark on a ship at the same time as Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal.
He would remain silent for long periods, and when he spoke, he would say:
‘O Allah, cause us to die upon Islam and the Sunnah.’”

10. Al-Ḥasan ibn Ayyūb al-Baghdādī said:
“Someone said to Abū ʿAbdillāh Aḥmad ibn Ḥanbal:
‘May Allah keep you alive, O Abā ʿAbdillāh.’
He replied: ‘(May He keep me alive) upon Islam and the Sunnah.’”

11. Yaḥyā ibn ʿAwn said:
“I entered with Sahnūn upon Ibn al-Qaṣṣār while he was ill.
Sahnūn said to him: ‘Why this anxiety?’
He replied: ‘(I fear) death and the meeting with Allah.’
Sahnūn said: ‘Are you not a believer in the messengers, the resurrection, the reckoning, Paradise and Hell;
that the best of this Ummah are Abū Bakr then ʿUmar;
that the Qur’an is the Speech of Allah, uncreated;
that Allah will be seen on the Day of Resurrection;
that He rose above the Throne;
and that one must not rebel against the rulers even if they are unjust?’
He said: ‘By Allah, yes.’
Sahnūn said: ‘Then die whenever you wish, die whenever you wish.’”

All of this indicates that whoever has firmly established the foundations of belief and sincerely established Tawheed may be at peace at the time of death, إن شاء اله

We ask Allah — Glorified and Exalted be He — to let us live and die upon Tawḥīd and the Sunnah.

📚 فَوَائِدُ مُسْتَنْبَطَةٌ مِنَ التَّعْلِيقِ عَلَى صَحِيحِ البُخَارِيِّ يَوْمَي السَّبْتِ وَالأَحَدِ بَعْدَ الفَجْرِ

-الفَائِدَةُ الأُولَى-

بَابٌ: كَيْفَ كَانَ بَدْءُ الْوَحْيِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟

صِفَةُ الوَحْيِ وَحَالَاتُ نُزُولِهِ عَلَى رَسُولِ الله ﷺ:

كَانَ الوَحْيُ يَنْزِلُ بِوَاسِطَةِ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَلَى نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ بِحَالَاتٍ مُتَعَدِّدَةٍ: مَرَّةً يَأْتِي جِبْرِيلُ كَمَا خُلِقَ، وَمَرَّةً عَلَى هَيْئَةِ رَجُلٍ، وَمَرَّةً يَأْتِي الوَحْيُ كَصَلْصَلَةِ الجَرَسِ، وَهَذَا كما قَالَ عَنْهُ ﷺ: «وَهُوَ أَشَدُّهُ عَلَيَّ فَيُفْصَمُ عَنِّي وَقَدْ وَعَيْتُ عَنْهُ».

وتِلْكَ الحَالَاتُ كَمَا يَلِي:

الحَالَةُ الأُولَى: مَجِيءُ جِبْرِيلَ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ كَمَا خُلِقَ، وَهَذِهِ وَقَعَتْ مَرَّتَيْنِ، كَمَا فِي صَحِيحِ مُسْلِمٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا مَرْفُوعًا: «لَمْ أَرَهُ يَعْنِي جِبْرِيلَ عَلَى صُورَتِهِ الَّتِي خُلِقَ عَلَيْهَا إِلَّا مَرَّتَيْنِ»، الأُولَى كَانَتْ عِنْدَ سُؤَالِهِ إِيَّاهُ أَنْ يُرِيَهُ صُورَتَهُ الَّتِي خُلِقَ عَلَيْهَا، وَالثَّانِيَةُ عِنْدَ المِعْرَاجِ.

الحَالَةُ الثَّانِيَةُ: كَصَلْصَلَةِ الجَرَسِ.

الحَالَةُ الثَّالِثَةُ: التَّمَثُّلُ عَلَى هَيْئَةِ رَجُلٍ، كَمَا فِي قِصَّةِ مَجِيئِهِ فِي صُورَةِ دِحْيَةَ وَفِي صُورَةِ أَعْرَابِيٍّ وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ، وَكُلُّهَا فِي الصَّحِيحِ.

الحَالَةُ الرَّابِعَةُ: مَجِيئُهُ كَدَوِيِّ النَّحْلِ.
الحَالَةُ الخَامِسَةُ: النَّفْثُ فِي الرُّعُوبِ.
الحَالَةُ السَّادِسَةُ: الإِلْهَامُ.
الحَالَةُ السَّابِعَةُ: الرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ.
الحَالَةُ الثَّامِنَةُ: التَّكْلِيمُ لَيْلَةَ الإِسْرَاءِ بِلَا وَاسِطَةٍ.

📚 Extracted Benefits from the Commentary on Sahih al-Bukhari on Saturday and Sunday after Fajr

-First Benefit-

The Nature of Revelation and the Forms of Its Descent upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ

Revelation used to descend through Gabriel (Jibril), peace be upon him, to our Prophet Muhammad ﷺ in various forms: sometimes Gabriel would appear as he was created, sometimes in the form of a man, and sometimes the revelation would come like the ringing of a bell. Regarding this, the Prophet ﷺ said:
"And it is the most intense upon me, and it is so overwhelming that I am unable to speak, though I comprehend what it conveys."

The forms of revelation are as follows:

First form: Gabriel’s arrival in his original creation, which occurred twice. As narrated in Sahih Muslim from ‘A’isha, may Allah be pleased with her, she said: "I did not see him—that is, Gabriel—in his original form except twice." The first was when the Prophet ﷺ asked to be shown Gabriel in his original form, and the second was during the Mi‘raj (ascension).

Second form: Like the ringing of a bell.

Third form: Appearing in the form of a man, as in the story of his coming in the shape of Dihyah or in the form of an Bedouin, and other forms, all of which are authentic.

Fourth form: Like the buzzing of a bee.

Fifth form: Breathing (or blowing) into the Prophet in a manner that inspired awe.

Sixth form: Inspiration (ilham).
Seventh form: Righteous dreams.

Eighth form: Direct speech during the Night of Isra’ without any intermediary.

(كُلَّ جُمُعَةٍ بَيْنَ المَغْرِبِ وَالعِشَاءِ)

– الفَائِدَةُ الأُولَى –

⬅️ تَفْسِيرُ قَوْلِ اللهِ تَعَالَى: ﴿إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ﴾ [الفَاتِحَةُ: ٥]

فِيهِ دَلَالَةٌ عَلَى وُجُوبِ إِخْلَاصِ العِبَادَةِ للهِ تَعَالَى بِجَمِيعِ أَنْوَاعِهَا اعْتِقَادًا وَقَوْلًا وَعَمَلًا، وَالبَرَاءَةِ مِنَ الشِّرْكِ وَوَسَائِلِهِ، وَمِنَ الحَوْلِ وَالقُوَّةِ؛ لِقَوْلِهِ تَعَالَى: ﴿إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ﴾.

وَقَدْ قَرَنَ اللهُ بَيْنَ ﴿إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ﴾ وَ﴿وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ﴾؛ فَفِي قَوْلِهِ: ﴿إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ﴾ تَحْقِيقُ الأُلُوهِيَّةِ وَإِبْطَالٌ لِلشِّرْكِ فِيهَا، وَفِي قَوْلِهِ: ﴿وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ﴾ تَحْقِيقُ الرُّبُوبِيَّةِ، وَإِبْطَالٌ لِلشِّرْكِ فِيهَا.

وَالدَّعْوَةُ إِلَى عِبَادَةِ اللهِ وَتَخْصِيصِهِ بِجَمِيعِ أَنْوَاعِ العِبَادَةِ هِيَ أَسَاسُ دَعْوَةِ الرُّسُلِ مِنْ أَوَّلِهِمْ إِلَى آخِرِهِمْ: قَالَ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَلَقَدْ بَعَثْنَا فِي كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ رَسُولًا أَنِ اعْبُدُوا اللهَ وَاجْتَنِبُوا الطَّاغُوتَ﴾ [النَّحْلُ: ٣٦].

دَلَّ قَوْلُ اللهِ تَعَالَى: ﴿إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ﴾ عَلَى أَنَّ العَبْدَ لَا يَنْفَكُّ عَنِ العُبُودِيَّةِ حَتَّى المَوْتِ، كَمَا قَالَ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَاعْبُدْ رَبَّكَ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ اليَقِينُ﴾ [الحِجْرُ: ٩٩]؛ أَيْ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ المَوْتُ.

وَدَلَّ قَوْلُ اللهِ تَعَالَى: ﴿وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ﴾ عَلَى حَاجَةِ جَمِيعِ الخَلْقِ إِلَى عَوْنِ اللهِ تَعَالَى، وَافْتِقَارِهِمْ إِلَيْهِ فِي جَمِيعِ أُمُورِهِمُ الدِّينِيَّةِ وَالدُّنْيَوِيَّةِ؛ وَقَدْ جَاءَ فِي دُعَاءِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَكِلْنِي إِلَى نَفْسِي طَرْفَةَ عَيْنٍ».

فَالعَبْدُ دَائِمًا وَأَبَدًا فِي حَاجَةٍ إِلَى عَوْنِ اللهِ تَعَالَى: إِذَا لَمْ يَكُنْ عَوْنٌ مِنَ اللهِ لِلْفَتَى * فَأَوَّلُ مَا يَجْنِي عَلَيْهِ اجْتِهَادُهُ

📚 Benefits Derived from Tafsir al-Baghawi Classes
(Held Every Friday Between Maghrib and Isha)

– The First Benefit –

➡️ Tafsir of the Saying of Allah, the Exalted:
﴿إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ﴾ [الفَاتِحَةُ: ٥] (You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help) [al-Fatihah: 5]

This Ayah indicates the obligation of sincerely devoting all acts of worship to Allah, the Exalted; beliefs, words, and deeds; and disavowing shirk and its means, as well as disavowing any claim to independent power or strength; for He, the Exalted, says: (You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help).

Allah has paired (You alone we worship) with (and You alone we ask for help); for in His saying (You alone we worship) there is affirmation of divine oneness in worship (uluhiyyah) and the negation of shirk therein, while in His saying (and You alone we ask for help) there is affirmation of lordship (rububiyyah) and the negation of shirk therein.

The call to worship Allah and to single Him out with all types of worship is the foundation of the mission of all messengers from the first of them to the last:
Allah, the Exalted, also says: (We certainly sent into every nation a messenger, [saying], “Worship Allah and avoid the Taghut.”) [al-Naḥl: 36].

The saying of Allah, the Exalted: (You alone we worship) indicates that the servant never ceases to be in a state of servitude until death, as Allah, the Exalted, says: (And worship your Lord until certainty (death) comes to you) [al-Hijr: 99].

The saying of Allah, the Exalted: (and You alone we ask for help) indicates the need of all creation for the aid and support of Allah, the Exalted, and their dependence on Him in all their religious and worldly affairs. It has come in the supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): “O Allah, do not leave me to my own self for the blink of an eye.”

Thus the servant is always and forever in need of the help of Allah, the Exalted:
If Allah’s aid does not accompany a man, ** his own striving will be the first to destroy him

- وَقِيلَ: المَرَضَ. - وَقِيلَ: دَوَامَ المَرَضِ.

The most correct of these views, and the safest:
- is that he feared death due to the intensity of terror.
- It was also said: illness. - And it was said: the persistence of illness.

📚 إِنَّ فَضِيلَةَ شَهْرِ رَجَبٍ إِنَّمَا تَأْتِي مِنْ كَوْنِهِ مِنَ الأَشْهُرِ الحُرُمِ لَا غَيْرُ، وَيَجْدُرُ التَّنْبِيهُ إِلَى أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَثْبُتْ فِي تَخْصِيصِ هٰذَا الشَّهْرِ بِعَمَلٍ مُعَيَّنٍ دُونَ غَيْرِهِ حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ يُعَوَّلُ عَلَيْهِ، وَكُلُّ مَا وَرَدَ فِيهِ مِنَ الأَحَادِيثِ فَهِيَ إِمَّا ضَعِيفَةٌ أَوْ مَوْضُوعَةٌ.

فَاحْذَرُوا مِنَ البِدَعِ الَّتِي تُحْدَثُ فِي شَهْرِ رَجَبٍ، وَمِنْهَا:

🟢 صَلَاةُ الرَّغَائِبِ فِي أَوَّلِ جُمُعَةٍ مِنْ رَجَبٍ بِدْعَةٌ لَا أَصْلَ لَهَا.
حَتَّى إِنَّ النَّوَوِيَّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى، يَدْعُو عَلَى مَنْ وَضَعَهَا. قَالَ شَيْخُ الإِسْلَامِ فِي «اِقْتِضَاءِ الصِّرَاطِ الْمُسْتَقِيمِ»:
(وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ ذِكْرٌ فِي السَّلَفِ، وَلَا جَرَى فِيهِ مَا يُوجِبُ تَعْظِيمَهُ؛ مِثْلَ أَوَّلِ خَمِيسٍ مِنْ رَجَبَ، وَلَيْلَةِ تِلْكَ الْجُمُعَةِ الَّتِي تُسَمَّى الرَّغَائِبَ، فَإِنَّ تَعْظِيمَ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ وَاللَّيْلَةِ إِنَّمَا حَدَثَ فِي الإِسْلَامِ بَعْدَ الْمِائَةِ الرَّابِعَةِ، وَرُوِيَ فِيهِ حَدِيثٌ مَوْضُوعٌ بِاتِّفَاقِ الْعُلَمَاءِ، مَضْمُونُهُ: فَضِيلَةُ صِيَامِ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ وَفِعْلُ هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةِ، الْمُسَمَّاةِ عِنْدَ الْجَاهِلِينَ بِصَلَاةِ الرَّغَائِبِ).

🟢 الِاحْتِفَالُ بِلَيْلَةِ السَّابِعِ وَالْعِشْرِينَ مِنْ رَجَبٍ بِزَعْمِ أَنَّهَا لَيْلَةُ الإِسْرَاءِ وَالْمِعْرَاجِ بِدْعَةٌ.

🟢 لَيْلَةُ الإِسْرَاءِ لَمْ يُعْلَمْ وَقْتُهَا تَحْدِيدًا، وَلَوْ عُرِفَتْ لَا يُشْرَعُ الِاحْتِفَالُ بِهَا.

الوَاجِبُ اتِّبَاعُ السُّنَّةِ وَالْحَذَرُ مِنَ الْمُحْدَثَاتِ. (مَجْمُوعُ فَتَاوَى وَمَقَالَاتِ الشَّيْخِ ابْنِ بَازٍ 11/427).

قَالَ شَيْخُ الإِسْلَامِ ابْنُ تَيْمِيَّةَ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ:
وَأَمَّا صَوْمُ رَجَبٍ بِخُصُوصِهِ فَأَحَادِيثُهُ كُلُّهَا ضَعِيفَةٌ، بَلْ مَوْضُوعَةٌ، لَا يَعْتَمِدُ أَهْلُ الْعِلْمِ عَلَى شَيْءٍ مِنْهَا، وَلَيْسَتْ مِنَ الضَّعِيفِ الَّذِي يُرْوَى فِي الْفَضَائِلِ، بَلْ عَامَّتُهَا مِنَ الْمَوْضُوعَاتِ الْمَكْذُوبَاتِ.

📚 The virtue of the month of Rajab stems solely from the fact that it is one of the Sacred Months and nothing more. It should be noted that no authentic hadith has been established that can be relied upon regarding singling out this month for any specific act of worship as opposed to others. Rather, all the narrations reported concerning it are either weak or fabricated.

Therefore, Muslims should beware of innovations introduced during the month of Rajab, including:

🟢 The Prayer of al-Raghaib, performed on the first Friday of Rajab, is an innovation with no basis. So much so that Imam al-Nawawi, may Allah have mercy on him, would pray against the one who fabricated it. Shaykh al-Islam said in Iqtidha al-Sirat al-Mustaqim:
“It had no mention among the early generations, nor did anything occur that would justify its veneration—such as the first Thursday of Rajab and the night of that Friday called al-Raghaib. The veneration of this day and night only appeared in Islam after the fourth century. A fabricated hadith has been narrated concerning it by consensus of scholars, claiming the virtue of fasting that day and performing this prayer, which the ignorant call Salat al-Raghaib.”

🟢 Celebrating the night of the 27th of Rajab under the claim that it is the night of al-Isra and al-Mi‘raj is an innovation.

🟢 The exact date of the night of al-Isra is unknown, and even if it were known, celebrating it would not be legislated.
What is obligatory is to follow the Sunnah and avoid newly introduced practices. (Majmu‘ Fatwa wa Maqalat Shaykh Ibn Baz, 11/427)

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
“As for fasting Rajab specifically, all of its hadiths are weak or fabricated. Scholars do not rely upon any of them. They are not even among the weak hadiths narrated regarding virtues; rather, most of them are fabricated lies.” (Majmu‘ al-Fatawa, 25/290)
