๐Ÿ”ฅWILD: Traders are now earning CREDIT CARD points buying MEMECOINS on Robinhood!

Users of Robinhood Wallet and social trading app Fomo are buying memecoins with Visa and Mastercard credit cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay, directly through Crossmint, without even a separate KYC check.

The Blockโ€™s tests found the purchases were classified as โ€œdigital goods/mediaโ€ instead of crypto transactions, allowing users to earn credit card points or cash back.

Chase says the transactions were incorrectly classified and has asked Visa to investigate, while the New York Attorney Generalโ€™s Office is also reviewing the matter.

๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ JUST IN: Singapore proposes BANNING stablecoin issuers from paying yield to holders.

The Monetary Authority of Singapore wants 100% reserve backing at all times, segregated custody, stress testing, and mandatory wind-down plans.

Only licensed issuers can call their tokens "MAS-regulated stablecoins."

The US GENIUS Act, the EU's MiCA, Hong Kong, and Japan already enforce similar rules.

FIVE of the world's biggest financial hubs now regulate stablecoins as payment tools, not investments.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ BREAKING: House cancels TWO WEEKS of September session putting the CLARITY Act at risk of a post-election vote.

House Republicans canceled voting sessions for the weeks of Sept. 21 and Sept. 28, leaving the chamber with only one more week of voting before heading home ahead of the November midterms.

The Senate is expected to begin work on the CLARITY Act around Sept. 15, but any Senate amendments would require the bill to return to the House before reaching Trumpโ€™s desk.

The crypto market structure bill could now be pushed into the post-election lame-duck session.

๐ŸšจHUGE: The G7 just warned that quantum computers could one day break the encryption behind Bitcoin.

Its Cybersecurity Working Group is urging governments and companies to adopt "post-quantum" cryptography before such machines arrive.

The risk is real for Bitcoin, where roughly 6.9 MILLION BTC sit in addresses that already expose their public keys.

That includes an estimated 1.1 MILLION coins believed to be Satoshi's, worth over $80 BILLION.

Bitcoin's defense, a quantum-safe address type called BIP-360, is already live on a test network.

A more radical proposal would freeze the vulnerable coins that never migrate, including Satoshi's, but the community rejected it as "authoritarian."
