Bir sartarosh bor. U o‘z ishiga juda jiddiy yondashadi va prinsiplariga ega
U o‘zining soqolini olmaydigan har bir kishining soqolini oladi. Lekin soqolini o'zi oladigan odamlarning soqolini olmaydi.
Savol shunday: sartarosh o‘zining soqolini oladimi?
1) agar u o‘zining soqolini olsa, ikkinchi prinsipga qarshi bo'ladi
2) agar olmaydigan bo‘lsa, birinchi prinsipga qarshi bo'ladi.
Demak, bunday sartarosh mavjud bo‘lishi mumkin emas.

Above all, do not lose your desire to walk: every day I walk myself into a state of well-being and walk away from every illness ; I have walked myself into my best thoughts, and I know of no thought so burdensome that one cannot walk away from it.
Even if one were to walk for one's health and it were constantly one station ahead - I would still say: Walk! Besides, it is also apparent that in walking one constantly gets as close to well-being as possible, even if one does not quite reach it — but by sitting still, and the more one sits still, the closer one comes to feeling ill.
Health and salvation can be found only in motion. If anyone denies that motion exists, I do as Diogenes did, I walk. If anyone denies that health resides in motion, then I walk away from all morbid objections. Thus, if one just keeps on walking, everything will be all right.
Søren Kierkegaard

So how do you fight false positives? Easy: if you can’t assume that results from one sample apply to the whole population, then test more samples. What the book calls replicability is key. The most relatable example? Think of a date. You meet someone great at a party — there’s chemistry, good vibes, everything clicks. But the next morning, you wonder: Was it really a connection… or just the cocktails talking? The only way to find out? See her again. Once, twice, maybe three times. Only then will you know if it was the real deal — or just a false positive. Good luck with your dates!

Ingliz tilida post qo'yib turishimni asosiy sababi haqida o'yladim. Yakuniy xulosa shu bo'ldi: boshqalar men ingliz tilini bilishimni bilishlarini xohlaganim uchun inglizcha nimadir tashlab turar ekanman.

- Why is it do you think people get married?
- Passion?
- No
- Why then?
- Because we need a witness to our lives. There is a billion people on the planet. I mean what does any one life really mean? But in a marriage you are promising to care about everything: the good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things. All of it, everyday. You are saying "your life will not get unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not get unwitnessed because I will be your witness"

The first law of thermodynamics says that energy can neither be created nor destroyed — only converted to another form. What if the same is true for our pain?
When a child's sadness isn't seen, it doesn't simply disappear. It shape-shifts. It transforms into something else.

There are more good people in this world than bad. You may not think so, but it's true. The bad ones make a lot of noise and cause a lot of trouble, so they're the ones we see on the news and portrayed in books and films, but your average human being is a good human being. And that's a fact.
Although it's always important to be careful in life, from whom to trust to what time you walk home on your own, it's also important to remember this. Sure, the guy who saves you from drowning might be planning to shave your hair off and sell it as a wig but, more likely than not, he's simply trying to save your life. If most people were bad, nothing would ever get done. There would be no such thing as society. So be alert, yes. Be sensible, yes. But try not to be afraid. If you're afraid, you're letting the bad guys win.

If the appearance is more important than the soul, then why would the soul rise up to the sky after death and we bury the body in the ground?

Sometimes, I find myself wondering, what’s going on in the life of the person who just walked past me? Did they just fall in love, or out of it? Are they rushing home to their kid, or leaving a place that no longer feels like home? Did they hear good news today? Bad? Did something inside them break quietly this morning, the way things sometimes do, without anyone noticing? It’s strange how we’ll never know. That we’ll pass each other in grocery store aisles, in late-night cafés, in elevator rides too quiet to break—and yet our lives will remain sealed, unknowable. You could sit beside someone for hours and never even scratch the surface of who they are.

“If you asked most people whether they believed in love or not, they’d probably say they didn’t. Yet that’s not necessarily what they truly think. It’s just the way they defend themselves against what they want. They believe in it, but pretend they don’t until…
“When childhood dies, its corpses are called adults and they enter society, one of the politer names of Hell. That is why we dread children, even if we love them. They show us the state of our decay.”

My dearest Felice! What’s this? Headaches, fitful sleep, strange dreams, and all this at a time when you are supposed to be resting from your many troubles? It is the continued uncertainty of our situation, that’s all. On receipt of your letter tomorrow I shall write to your father, and then we will both be calm and confident. Indeed, we’ll have to be, you especially, for it is then that your real hardship awaits you: sharing your life with me, a man without self-control, whom you may still not visualize as he really is.
Please give a more detailed description, Felice, of your life at Westerland. I have a general idea, but would like to gorge myself on detail. Whom do you like, and dislike? And how do you spend each part of the day? Do you read? If so, what? And isn’t it quite dangerous to bathe if one cannot swim?

Or maybe the past feels sacred simply because it's where life has happened — while the future remains the unknown, where death inevitably waits.

Bir qiziq narsa o'qigan edim "tasdiqlash paradoksi" degan.
Biror narsa qilishga yoki qaysidir va'dani bajarishga qattiq qasdlashasiz. Masalan, uylanganizda/turmushga chiqqanizda umringizni oxirigacha ajrashmayman degan qat'iyat bo'ladi sizda. Ammo har yilni oxirida sizga kimdir kelib "hali ham o'sha fikringda qolasanmi? Ajrashish niyating yo'qmi?" deb so'rab tursa nima bo'ladi? Bu holatda, hech qaysi javobni bermasangiz avtomatik "yo'q" degan bo'lasiz.
Mantiqan o'ylab qarasangiz hech narsa o'zgarmaydi. Sizda bu "tasdiqlash"ni so'rashdan oldin ham xuddi shu variantlar mavjud edi. Shunchaki "ha" davom etaman, yoki "yo'q" ajrashaman deyish imkoniyati bor edi doim.
Yagona farq shunda-ki, birinchi holatda (tasdiqlashingiz shart bo'lmagan holat) sizni hech narsa qilmasligingiz "ha, turmushim bilan qolaman" degan ma'noni berar edi. Ikkinchisida esa teskarisi.
Aslida odamlar shunchaki "hech narsa qilmaslikni" tanlar ekan. (Tendency to inaction). Shuning uchun ham har yil oxirida "tasdiqlab" turishingiz kerak bo'lsa sizni qat'iyatingiz susayib ketar ekan.
