Just came back from office and was writing my Zindagi ke Panne for myself...this one was something which really touched me ..so thought of sharing ! Sorry am really not getting time ! Tomorrow will definitely make a video or two
Keep preparing #AllTheBest
As I look back........
I was very touched by one incident today in my office.
Sitting in a govt. office in a small district of Jharkhand ( Koderma), a young lady entered my chamber having an application in her hand and demanded for the timeline when her issue would be resolved. She mentioned that she was working in Ranchi in a private firm and it is difficult for her to commute for this issue!
I could see the anger and frustration which I used to have when I used to be on the other side of the table. An objectivity in questioning which was very impressive from her point of view however with limited resources in hand very difficult for the person on the other side of table.
Since I had joined recently and this issue was something for which she had given the application before my joining, I asked her to wait for a week or two after going through her application and her documents since it was land related issue and I would myself go to the field to understand the issue and dispute and to resolve it.
Not too sure if she was completely happy with my approach, as she was about to leave I asked her to take some toffees while going back as I usually do with all visitors in my office. She was surprised and perplexed and asked me the reason for the same !
I said nothing , no reason !
She asked is today your birthday ! I said a polite no
She asked then Why !
I smiled and replied because you still have the trust on the system to help in resolving your issue & since you came to our office :)
She had a child like smile and asked me well this is NEW to me ! Can I take 5 of them , I said yes why not all these are for people who visit
To my surprise she actually took 9-10 of them and before leaving said a warm Thank you and said I have faith that the issue will be resolved now and also said this is first time she has seen something like this in a govt. setup.
I asked her to look at us and govt setup with more positivity in future :)
I am happy that my earnest attempt to improve HQ ( Happiness Quotient) of the ecosystem surrounding me is making people happy in small corners of our beloved nation !
Sometimes all it takes is a small gesture to make people feel good about the system :)
Sometimes it is as small as a toffee...And it touches a 90 year old the same way it touches a 9 month old..
Sometimes you just need to keep believing in your vision and dream !
I again started remembering my HUL days where we were taught "every great change begins with small steps"
and DB's tagline #PositiveImpact
And Newton movie trailer dialogue
*वो क्या है ना , जब तक तुम कुछ नहीं बदलोगे दोस्त , कुछ नहीं बदलेगा*
Though quickly we replenished the toffees today :D as they got over still the real life experiment continues...........
Started in Gumla ...continuing in Koderma

I will share a very small thing with you all...we were doing this today and it's still going...while I came back at 11:30 pm types there are still many doctors, computer operators and staffs and probationer Deputy collectors of Jharkhand who are working to make sure we capture right data for COVID after massive drives of testing 15000 people, enter in all systems, send IVRS and upload in different portals !
There are some probationers of Jharkhand Administrative Services like Saransh Jain ( a young lad from MP) , Girendra Tuti, Amit , Santosh , Manoj Marandi , Kanti Rashmi who have been leading the team and motivating them and rising to the need of time !
The need to share this is : there may be many things wrong with the govt set-up however not everything and everyone is wrong ! A lot of work goes behind the scene which we sometimes need to respect
And I shared with you all this is because there are 3 people in these 6 JAS probationers who are also going to give UPSC exam this Sunday...One of them went to interview even this year...one has appeared in SSB interview 9 times...still they are there working and guiding the team there and leading from the front !
Due to their efforts our district is now at number 1 in many of the parameters even
There is very simple learning : we always have choices in life and what choice we make determine how we become. Our future is a function of our present commitments and hardwork has no substitute
Be like these young officers. Also when you clear an exam like UPSC, don't ever treat anyone of state services with inferiority complex!
It may be that they just could not go through an interview, or missed narrowly by couple of marks ! you never know...always learn from everyone and treat everyone with respect and love :)
People never remember the posts you held in your life , they remember the person who was holding those posts in their life

*This is our final prediction of Cut off based on scientific scrutiny of paper based on exam hall like conditions*
If some one can convert it into a computerized image version like last year we would be be very thankful to them
We did this in 2017 with 100% accuracy and overpredicted in 2018 & 2019 by 1Q
Hopefully the scientific method we have developed for deducing this year works again :)
Last year our general cut off was 100 while the real cutoff came as 98
Key takeaways
1) Paper this year was lengthy and one will not be able to read and comprehend the paper fully in exam conditions
2) Very Easy Qs were just 4 compared to 2019 when there were 9 very easy Qs
3) Unsolvable Q increased to 13 compared to 9 last year
4) Agriculture and Economy are on tougher side with History and art and culture remaining to continue difficult
5) now with plant and animal cells Q real S&T Q are also being asked which will make the paper more difficult in coming years
6) Polity was solvable and has been solved by many aspirants. However there were many conceptual Q in Polity as well
7) Rules work in nearly 49 Q and also fail in nearly 10 Q! So net net with application of rules one would be able to get 40 Q right :) We will see in detail in a video later
8) Set wise some Q are very difficult in the beginning itself like if one started with set D , it would be very difficult
Key point to note
If you are getting more than 95, you must prepare for mains if you are in general category and similarly for other categories, if you are getting more than cut off start preparing
All the best and thank you for all the love and support :)
Regards

There are many people who have sent messages that they are getting more than 100-105+ in this paper
There are 3-4 takeaways from it
1) May be only those who are getting good marks messages generally in groups and it seems like the cut off will go high
2) We might have predicted wrong and the cut off may go higher, however we have faith in the simulations that we go through . Baaki to Bhagwaan ki marji, kisko kab humbled kar dein apni leela se no one knows
3) CSAT this year was not that tough however many people are on border case who are getting good marks in paper 1
And yes, you all have been extremely kind to thank me for playing my role, however a mentor's role is limited to guide someone, it is all because of your hardwork and your near and dear one's especially parents blessings
Now for mains we will come up with SAMPURN series which was not completed in 2018 as and when time permits
And for people not getting in, it is tough actually! It will pain ! Re-assess the resources you have, re-assess your energy, monetary conditions, skill sets, family pressures all practically and then take a call !
Best wishes to everyone

One of the key lines I always told myself during prep and it was vey simple yet very powerful whenever i used to fear any stage of preparation was
"ऐ दिल तू मत डर, बस तैयारी कर"
