I think It’s hard to call Zelenskyy or Ukraine a welfare recipient when the US government (from now on we should all call it the DC Empire) is getting something it wants in return for its money, even if some of that money is lost by corrupt officials. The DC Empire is exhausting the Kremlin’s military capacity at a discount, without having to engage them directly. So that money isn’t welfare money, and Ukraine isn’t a puppet state, it’s just a matter of overlapping interests — they both want the RAF to have a hard defeat it can’t recover from.

When people say “America’s war against Russia” I understand that it’s just shorthand for the DC Empire’s war against the Kremlin’s armed forces, but I’m also seeing autistic idiots on Telegram taking everything they read literally at face value and blaming America and Americans for Zelenskyy getting billions of dollars, as if farmers in Idaho really care or know anything about geopolitics on the other side of the planet. That’s why shorthand is so dangerous on Telegram.

I think I shared this meme years ago, but it’s still worth sharing.

There’s still people around here that want to argue with me on this subject. They insist that it’s better to be harmless rather than peaceful because they think protesting actually works (it works for the left) and that having access to modern firearms “doesn’t matter and is just a LARP.” Arguing with these people has led me to saying things about modern Euros that I deeply regret saying, but if you insist that the right to keep and bear arms doesn’t matter than you’re saying it’s okay or even preferable to be harmless.

To some extent we’re all ambassadors of our own nation, so when people from a certain country or continent consistently entered my chatroom to argue that rights don’t matter, showing no understanding of how negative rights work, they were representing their culture and the mindset of their conservative-leaning countrymen — even if it was a misrepresentation. This is why so many people on this side of Telegram think that the majority of American nationalists are just christpilled Putin simps and that the majority of Euros around here are statists that would rather lick a fascist boot than a liberal one.

That’s also another reason why I deleted my chatroom.
