Santa Anna wears the uniform of a common soldier, having discarded his gaudy accoutrements in flight. Captured Mexican battle standards are leaning against the tree. Santa Anna promised to end hostilities and vouch for Texan sovereignty in the subsequent treaty, but reneged after his release. Less trusting voices in the Texan camp advocated for Anna's hanging as a tyrant and murderer.

And since intelligence agencies consider information the government purchases from commercial sources to be open-source that means every phone call you make, every place you visit, every purchase you make will be too. Definitely true that for all the talk lately of the US being more German, that it’s actually still far more Anglo-Celtic (its main founding stock people) than such people give it credit with a percentage comparable to Canada (Canada’s French population is obviously the main part of the curiously combined French/German cohort that distorts things a little. I’m sure the US still does have a stronger German bent, to Canada’s French element). It is a bit white pilling to see there still are strong numbers of these white ethnic groups.

It reminds me of a study awhile back that showed Canada’s Anglo-Celtic groups (mostly broken down as English, Scots, and Irish) as still very strong and in tact (not too much intermarriage outside their people, even with other European ethnicities).
