I'm suggesting we discuss ideas from "Martin Eden" by Jack London📘

Here's the blurb (I've just learned this word, and it sounds too fun not to use 😁), so you have an idea of what we're going to be talking about 🌱

Martin Eden is a novel about a young sailor from the working class who falls in love with Ruth, a woman from a wealthy and educated family. Wanting to be worthy of her and her world, Martin begins an intense journey of self-education. He teaches himself literature, philosophy, and writing, believing that hard work and talent will bring success and respect.

As Martin struggles with poverty and rejection, he develops strong ideas about individualism, art, and society. When success finally comes, it brings unexpected emptiness rather than happiness. The novel raises powerful questions about social class, ambition, love, and the price of staying true to yourself in a world that values status and recognition.
