Just how the last month candle of 2022 closed

Quick juxtaposition of the 2022 bear and 2018-2019 bear (the most recent bear)

2022 bear

1️⃣$BTC has been down from the top: -77%

2️⃣$BTC Dominance has increased by: +7.5%, now stays at 42%

3️⃣Time from hitting the top to hitting the local/temporary bottom: 54 weeks

2018-2019 bear

1️⃣$BTC down from the top: -84%

2️⃣$BTC Dominance increased by: 108% (35% to 73%)

3️⃣Time from hitting the top to hitting the final bottom: 52 weeks

Using history data to point out where we are in the current bear sounds not very meaningful as we’ve been gone through only a few bears and we have many different external macro factors as of now, but here’s some quick observations

- It looks like we’ve hit the bottom or at least we’re very close to the bottom (I personally think $15K4 is our bottom in this bear cycle) . It doesn’t mean that bull will start right away. There’s an accumulation period of time before everything takes off. In 2018-2019 bear, there’s ~15 sideway weeks since $BTC hit the bottom & 65 weeks in total of accumulating ’till the moment we can be confident to say that ‘oh okay bull, here it is’. I’m seeing no signs of accumulation in the present chart of $BTC. Just stubborn fluctuations without any confirmed trends

- Dominance can’t scare us anymore. Let’s imagine the scene is scripted: C’mon Dominance, it’s been a year of bear. Bust a move, you haven’t been spiked at all. How do you like them apples? ETH Dominance, stay the course!!!

It’s persuaded that the big trend is $BTC is in the way of losing its dominance. 2022 bear started with 39% of $BTC Dominance (same level as which of the starting of 2018-2019 Bear) and highest number weve seen now is 48% (reached in June 22). Now we see it’s increasing to 42%. I don’t think Dominance can reach 70% range in this bear. I even don’t think Dominance can be > 50% given that alts are not shits as they were in 18-19. If the index hits around 48% - 50%, I’ll buy fucking anything I can, that’ll be the beginning of the bull.

Uptick in NFT total trading volume

Tổng volume giao dịch NFT Q4 có điểm tính cực so với Q3, somehow trở lại mức cuối Q1 đầu Q2 năm nay.

uptrend NFT rồi sẽ trở lại, và nó bắt đầu với một vài tháng, một vài quý có khối lượng giao dịch tăng bất ngờ. Q4/2022 có thể là thời điểm đó

Đa phần sự tăng này đến từ Blur. Vol của Blur tháng 12 là $484M, cao gần gấp đôi Opensea. Blur là con ngựa ô mới trong làng chợ NFT. Mới ra mắt vào nửa cuối 2022 nhưng trước đó Blur thông báo gọi được $11M led bởi Paradigm & có sự tham gia của 0xMaki của LayerZero, cựu thành viên Sushiswap. $BLUR token ra mắt dự kiến cuối tháng 1/2023

Các bộ bluechip cũng có sự tăng trưởng đáng kể & giá & volume, điển hình là bộ Pudgy Penguins (CEO Nansen để) có floor price đạt ATH

I’m looking at ‘real alt’ dominance aka market share

‘real alt’ = alts but not eth, stablecoins & memecoins

It, in my book, is the best indicator of alt szn. It’ll be greatly useful in the bull. Looking at it now helps us to have a sense of how low the index can hit & how high it can reach

In the last great pump (started on Jan 21), ‘real alt’ dominance jumped from 10% to 36.5%. Just over x3 for this index can get you alot of x100 within 1 quarter

We’re at 23.27%, might have a bounce here. But it's still a lil’ bit high for a starting point of a great pump

The next great pump should start at <20% I think. Notice that the great pump normally has a lagging time to the commencing time of the bull, which means we might have a number of pumps before the great pump. Case in point, before Jan 2021 - May 2021, we have end of 2019 to March 2020 or May 2020 - Sep 2020.

My prediction for the great pump: real alt market share: <20% to somewhere ~ 50%. You can miss the small pumps but should not miss the great one
