STEFFANY GRETZINGER FEAT. LEELAND - No Turning Back
Sometimes, I confuse myself. My emotions seem to be all over the place.

How very much God knows our tendency to veer from His ways when it comes to our hearts.

How often we allow our emotions and affections to rule us.

How many revered men have been brought down by illicit affairs? How many women have made stupid decisions in the name of love?

But our hearts aren’t just prone to be lead astray when it comes to the opposite sex.

Our hearts chase after wrong things all the time. All the time.

The Bible says,”the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick who can understand it? “(Jer 17:9)

So what are we to do with that?! 😳

That next verse in Jeremiah is so very important—

“I, the Lord, search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways according to the fruit of his deeds” (Jer 17:10)

God searches our hearts. He is the righteous judge.

This is a sobering thought.

So, what can we do?

We can REMEMBER what God has given us AND USE IT!

Because Christians have the Word , prayer and the Holy Spirit, we don’t have to follow our emotions and walk ourselves into trouble—

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Cor 10:3-5)

As we wash our thoughts with God’s Word, our thoughts become right.

When our thoughts are right, our actions are right and we avoid loads of pain.

“Yes, Let not mercy and truth forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find favor and high esteem
In the sight of God and man.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be health to your flesh,
And strength to your bones.”
(Prov 3:3-8)

In ALL your ways acknowledge Him and you will find strength for your bones to walk in the way of peace!

Before you take one step forward into what might bring you pain, 🛑 STOP! Seek counsel from the Word. Pray. Listen to the Holy Spirit! As you do, you will be blessed!

1,400-YEAR-OLD ANGEL OAK TREE.

A legendary Southern live oak in Charleston with a canopy stretching 160 feet wide. A true survivor of centuries of storms and time.

"For all its mass, a tree is a remarkably delicate thing. All of its internal life exists within three paper-thin layers of tissue--the pholem, xylem, and cambium--just beneath the bark, which together form a moist sleeve around the dead heartwood. However tall it grows, a tree is just a few pounds of living cells thinly spread between roots and leaves. These three diligent layers of cells perform all the intricate science and engineering needed to keep a tree alive, and the efficiency with which they do it is one of the wonders of life."

The Angel Oak Tree, located near Charleston, South Carolina, is a magnificent Southern live oak estimated to be over 400-500 years old. With its massive branches spanning upwards of 17,000 square feet, it's a symbol of resilience and natural beauty, attracting visitors from around the world to marvel at its grandeur and wonder about its storied past.

*If you have never visited The Angel Oak, you simply must. No pictures or videos can capture its magnificence. I had no idea that I would be able to go up to it, to walk under it and touch it's trunk, limbs, and branches. I thought that it would have a barrier around it. I was in awe. You will be too.🌳❤️⭐️

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies.

2 Corinthians 4:7-10
What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
And what a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer
Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged
Take it to the Lord in prayer
Can we find a friend so faithful
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness
Take it to the Lord in prayer
"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Abide in my love."

~Jesus (John 15:9)
