The Weirdest Building in Paris
In January 1977, Parisians entered a building through glass tubes suspended on its outside. Its escalators, plumbing, and structural framework were placed on the exterior, leaving the interior completely open and flexible. This design reflected a cultural moment obsessed with transparency, democracy, and technology.
This video explores how architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers imagined a building that could empower citizens and celebrate culture by literally turning architecture inside out. But this radical approach came with significant trade-offs, from lost historical charm to maintenance headaches. Watch more to see Artists' opinions. ...

From Fashion Capital to Vertical Forest Pioneers 🌿 | Jim Holland
Milan isn’t just turning heads on the runway - it’s leading the charge in reimagining urban living.
Bosco Verticale (aka The Vertical Forest) is a pair of high-rise residential towers that have flipped the script on city architecture.
Designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti and completed in 2014, they rise 112m and 80m above the skyline in Porta Nuova.
But it’s what’s growing on them that makes this project so extraordinary:
🌳 800 trees
🌿 4,500 shrubs
🌼 15,000 plants
Together, they form a living ecosystem that absorbs CO₂, reduces urban heat, muffles noise, and produces oxygen - right in the heart of Milan.
This isn’t a sustainability concept. It’s real, tangible impact rooted in nature.
Bosco Verticale proves that even in dense cities, there’s room to grow something better.

By creating a sub-tropical modern architecture garden home,
Justin Humphrey Architects employs concrete, timber, dark tones and green life to respond to the client's brief. Desiring a family home that was equal parts building and garden, the clients needed a home that could provide privacy and areas for entertaining. Handling the combination of public and private spaces with ease, the architect has also challenged the traditional entrance sequence of the home. From its exterior, Cove House strikes a formidable presence, yet with its singular floating plane roof and plant life, Cove House establishes itself as a modern architecture garden home.
