SMART ROOF 🌧️🏙️

That's how we can transform cities... 🌱🌞

Cities face increased heatwaves, droughts, and heavy rain.

Our infrastructure can’t keep up and is under stress.

Amsterdam’s RESILIO project 🌍 is transforming 10,000 m² of rooftops into smart blue-green networks.

These roofs “drink” rain, store it, and release it when needed.

The result?

❄️ It cools the city.
🐝🌸 Boosts biodiversity .
🌿💧 During dry periods smart climate tech regulates flows and keeps water flow.

Cities can breath better.
Citizen = healthier.

Inspired?

The Weirdest Building in Paris

In January 1977, Parisians entered a building through glass tubes suspended on its outside. Its escalators, plumbing, and structural framework were placed on the exterior, leaving the interior completely open and flexible. This design reflected a cultural moment obsessed with transparency, democracy, and technology.

This video explores how architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers imagined a building that could empower citizens and celebrate culture by literally turning architecture inside out. But this radical approach came with significant trade-offs, from lost historical charm to maintenance headaches. Watch more to see Artists' opinions.

Due to thermal expansion, Paris’s Eiffel Tower subtly changes height throughout the year. Crafted from wrought iron, the structure can gain approximately 12–15 cm during sweltering summer days and contract slightly in winter. Engineers anticipated these changes, designing the tower to flex without compromising its stability.

From Fashion Capital to Vertical Forest Pioneers 🌿 | Jim Holland

Milan isn’t just turning heads on the runway - it’s leading the charge in reimagining urban living.

Bosco Verticale (aka The Vertical Forest) is a pair of high-rise residential towers that have flipped the script on city architecture.

Designed by Stefano Boeri Architetti and completed in 2014, they rise 112m and 80m above the skyline in Porta Nuova.

But it’s what’s growing on them that makes this project so extraordinary:
🌳 800 trees
🌿 4,500 shrubs
🌼 15,000 plants

Together, they form a living ecosystem that absorbs CO₂, reduces urban heat, muffles noise, and produces oxygen - right in the heart of Milan.

This isn’t a sustainability concept. It’s real, tangible impact rooted in nature.
Bosco Verticale proves that even in dense cities, there’s room to grow something better.

One of the most sustainable public buildings in the world | Sustainable Design Network

Produces more renewable energy than it consumes

→ Façade clad in locally sourced larch with integrated vertical photovoltaic modules
→ High-performance insulation and triple glazing to minimise energy loss
→ Ground-source heat pumps, solar thermal panels, and heat recovery ventilation provide heating and cooling
→ Curved floor plan optimises daylight penetration, airflow, and workplace flexibility
→ Surplus renewable energy is fed back into the city grid

Freiburg City Hall stands as a benchmark for climate-positive civic architecture — proving that public buildings can lead the way in environmental innovation and community wellbeing.

Life Inside "THE LINE"

THE LINE, a part of NEOM, is unlike any construction project ever attempted - and in a world changing so quickly, I can’t help but wonder if its promise of perfection is really just a trap.

I made this video entirely alone and it took me a LONG time to make... If you're an experienced editor or animator interested in working together, reach out using the email in my channel description.

Saksikan dialog Shafinaz Nachiar bersama Advisor President Office Sinarmas Land & Ketua Umum Green Building Council Indonesia - Ignesjz Kemalawarta di Program Property Point CNBC Indonesia.
