hacking: security in practice
Securing the code before making it public

Hey, I'm an IT Student that is currently learning python. I made an app and some people are interested in buying it from me. What I am looking for is a way to secure the code but I have no idea where to even start. I was thinking about an account subscription for 30 days after which the user no longer can use it or just a simple license key that expires after a certain period of time. I am also curious about preventing reverse engineering it. Is that even possible? I think every exe can be reverse engineered. I was thinking about a cloud storage for the code with access based on a specific key from the app. Is that even possible? Any help and advice that can guide me and make me do first steps are greatly appreciated.

Can my wifi traffic be monitored?

I live in a student village with the internet coming from the wall via a LAN cable so I don't pay anything for it and it's included in my rent. The LAN cable goes from my wall to my modem. So, if I'm connected to my wifi while downloading and uploading pictures to internet, can they see the contents?
