hacking: security in practice
Are the so called hacking sites on the dark web actually legit?

This is just an inquiry and I fully understand that the practice is illegal. However I’m still curious whether or not these sites are legit.

Are there any good free lesser-known IP grabbers?

Grabify seems to be quite popular and whenever someone uses a redirect checking tool, they can easily see "Grabify" and know it's an IP grabber. Are there any lesser-known IP grabbers that are less suspicious of being IP grabbers?

Are there any additional steps I could take to "mask" my IP grabber from someone who uses a url redirect checker like wheregoes.com?

Hacked

More of a rant, so feel free to pass.

My Facebook was hacked a couple days ago because I'm an idiot and wasn't paying attention and helped someone i thought was a friend. I'm usually on the ball with account security and my gut was telling me something was wrong but I disregarded it, like an absolute idiot. Needless to say I'm resigned to having lost my account, that I've had for years, but it's still gnawing in the back of my mind and I can't get it out.

I know FB doesn't give a sh!t about regular "nobodies" like me and that's fine, I'm just hoping they're able to recover anything or even get back to me.

I get some of the reasons why people do this, but its just so frustrating and defeating to have been taken; especially when I've lost years of memories that I can't recover.

Is there anything other than financial information I should reassess? What other information could have gotten exposed and/or what else should I do post hack?
