BSOD after playing with new rubber ducky

So I finally received my USB rubber ducky and was playing with some basic ducky scripts open youtube, basic powershell commands etc. After a few hours of playing with it my usb port stopped work on my hub I went ahead and restarted the computer and received the wonderful 21a BSOD. I'm just reinstalling windows I don't have anything very important on this computer but I'm wondering if anyone else has run into this using the rubber ducky. It is corrupting something while injecting?

EDIT: Also, I should mention that sometimes the injection would not work and produce strange results like hitting keys I did not put into the script despite using the exact same inject.bin file that worked a minute ago. Could I have possibly gotten a faulty duck? I did get this directly from hak5.

How to start as a beginner

I have zero background knowledge but really interested in ethical hacking, pentesting and cybersecurity overall. I’m already attending a cs degree but we all know they dont teach this stuff there. How to start then? Do I take a udemy course? Another course? I’m very lost.

Cybersecurity Jobs for those starting as a developer or SysNetAdmin

I really enjoy programming but I also really enjoy learning about systems and network management. I am 23 years old and have no college degree. I am in an evening computer science high school for adults who dropped out of school in their teens.

If I started as a developer I would build a good backend developer portfolio to show my skills to employers. On the other hand, if I started as a Sys/NetAdmin I would put some money aside for certifications (CCNA to start) and to set up a homelab, documenting it all and showing it to employers.

Since I like both so much I would like to decide based on what jobs in Cybersecurity I could do by pursuing one path rather than another.

What Cybersecurity-related jobs can a developer pursue ?

What Cybersecurity-related jobs can a Sys/NetAdmin pursue ?
