Vehicle OSINT Collection
https://www.reddit.com/r/redteamsec/comments/yzset2/vehicle_osint_collection/
Hey all, I am currently working on a scraping tool that gathers information related to a specific vehicle, and have put together a collection of tools/websites/repositories that assist both my project and individuals performing OSINT investigations. I am looking to expand this collection, and would appreciate any feedback/additions to this collection regarding vehicle data, such as image, license plate, and vin databases/search tools. All feedback is welcome, and please feel free to utilize this collection as you desire. https://github.com/TheBurnsy/Vehicle-OSINT-Collection submitted by /u/Seth-Rogens-Balls (https://www.reddit.com/user/Seth-Rogens-Balls)

Recommended hackerspaces?
I've been browsing hackerspaces.org quite a bit looking for a quality hackerspace.
The issue is that the only ones I'm finding:
1) Don't have a website for me to look deeper at
2) Aren't about actual *hacking* (more about science, carpentry, etc)
3) Don't have a physical space
4) Don't respond to messages
etc.
Does anyone know of any good hackerspaces in the USA? Especially ones actually related to computer hacking?

Cannot passthrough Alfa AWUS036ACH USB NIC to Kali HVM
https://www.reddit.com/r/Pentesting/comments/yzt3ob/cannot_passthrough_alfa_awus036ach_usb_nic_to/
I'm trying to passthrough my wireless adapter from sys-usb to my standalone Kali HVM. I know with my Windows HVM, it doesn't support USB. So I assumed this is the same. Is there any solution to get my wireless adapter to become recognizable in my Kali HVM? Or should I just create Kali as a TemplateVM, maybe? Or should I just create a qube, passthrough the wireless adapter to it, install all the Kali Tools and call it a day? Let me know, thanks. submitted by /u/SawElite (https://www.reddit.com/user/SawElite)

Reverce TCP shellcode that detects operating system and creates a shell based on that? (Linux and Windows)
https://www.reddit.com/r/redteamsec/comments/yzuwtq/reverce_tcp_shellcode_that_detects_operating/
Lets assume you have a RCE, something like VMware escape, now that you have escaped and can execute shellcode on the host machine, you need to detect the operating system using your assembly shellcode, and then do a jump based on the operating system and get the reverse TCP based on whether its Windows or Linux. Has anyone already written something like this somewhere like github or..? I specially need to study the part that they are detecting whether its Windows or Linux only by using assembly, and I obviously need that to be a generic way of detecting both of them, and don't want it to only work on certain Linux distributions for example. Anyone here seen something like this before? submitted by /u/BitDrill (https://www.reddit.com/user/BitDrill)

Hacking a 5g mobile broadband modem
I've got a network locked 5g mobile broadband modem -Huawei H138-380 5G CPE - and I want to configure it to accept any network sim card, which I don't believe is impossible to configure but i've absoluely no idea how to change it.
So far it seems to only work with network and only the sim card type ( IE. mobile broadband simcard for this X company ) will work
i know with mobiles you can ask the network to unlock via the imei and that will enable it to be used with any company, but doesn't apply to this product.
I can't find any form online about this modem other than basic details in Italian which don't really help at all.
is there any available software to configure this to " unlocking" or am i just fucked.
thanks for any information, completely fucked tbh.

RFID and cr*d*t c**ds
Hey guys, I’m not really an expert when it comes to radio and RFID. However, I was recently wondering, nowadays crdt and dbt cards have RFID chips in them. Wouldn’t it be possible to grab the information off of those cards with an RFID reader? And couldn’t that potentially get really dangerous? Because someone could stand next to a self checkout area with a suitcase and RFID reader and capture a lot of sensitive info. Correct me if I’m wrong tho. Also sorry for the censorship, for some reason the bot keeps flagging my post for “fr**dulent content” when I’m really just tryna ask a question.
