Bypassing root certificates? (iOS)

Greetings,

I was wondering whether there was a way to bypass a root certificate installed on an iOS device. 3rd party apps/the app store was blocked from our devices and some co workers would be interested in installing "new" apps. Could anyone point me to any resources?

Embedded projects

What’s going on,

I was wondering if there were any IOT or embedded security professionals in here, if so, I was wondering if I could ask what home projects you guys possibly did to get started?

Right now I’m a 26 year old robotics engineering major, I know C and a little bit of Python, most of courses have pre-engineering classes so far though. The last few months I’ve just gained a deep fascination with hardware security that I think I want to make it my career but I definitely have a very long way to go.

Thanks in advance for any resources or tips!

Advice for getting into Pentesting

Hello all, I promise I looked through the subreddit a bit before posting :~) ​ I'm currently a senior studying Mathematics in uni, before the semester started, I had no real idea or direction on what I wanted to do when I graduated, so I figured I would integrate some Comp Sci classes into my schedule as I figured they go pretty well together. ​ I was listening to a podcast when I was first introduced to the subject of pentesting, and it seems so rewarding, having a challenge to find and exploit vulnerabilities obviously requires critical thinking on how to do it, its like a more fun proof and definitely got me interested. ​ So I had a few questions for the new, the juniors and seniors out there regarding the field. ​ 1) Obviously I was listening to something that was suppose to be interesting, does the career path become redundant or am I missing some nuances? ​ 2) My last semester is mainly just getting credits as I've finished a majority of my prereqs, I'm taking an advanced computer programing class, should I be focused on that (I've taken an intro) or should I be looking at taking a networking class? ​ 3) Obviously with any field that's quickly evolving, the best education is, going and practicing while staying informed on the newest tech and info...that being said, is it worth it to take a bootcamp course on pentesting, or does it make more sense to take free courses such as PortSwigger, and use other free to use sites like HackTheBox, and TryHackMe submitted by /u/shakiramademedothis (https://www.reddit.com/user/shakiramademedothis)
