Any value for a Compaq 1 GHz server?

I apologize if this is not the right spot for this, but surely somebody here knows the answer. Is there any value to a prehistoric Compaq server, 1GHz processor with two hot-swappable SCSI drives? It is large and has noisy fans and an even noisier alarm if you try to defeat the main fan. It is running windows NT of some version that I forget, but I would have to wipe the drives before getting rid of it due to customer data that is on it. Or should I just trash the thing?

I’m curious because i always see it and i know that all these apps we use, share our data with each other

Every time i search something on safari or even speak about a new product that i’ve never seen before it always somehow ends up being an AD on every other one of my social apps. Is there any way to turn that off or to encrypt all your information so they can’t share your data anymore i’m just curious on how all of that works thanks to anyone who takes the time to explain!
