May ATMs be susceptible to Arbitrary Code Execution in the same ways console games are?

I’ve recently watched, of all things, gaming speed runs, and have noticed bizarre trends of what people accomplish in them. Accomplishing seemingly odd behaviors during use causes intentional malfunction allowing Arbitrary Code Execution. Here’s an example video:

If machines or OS were thoroughly deconstructed, would this be something to worry about?
