Hostname Naming Scheme For Comcast?
I'm sure most of us are in the same boat: I enjoy exploring. On the internet that takes the form up scanning, poking and prodding at systems and hosts.
When looking at Comcast infrastructure, you will be greeted with things like
be-302-cr14.56marietta.ga.ibone.comcast.net
be-1413-cs04.houston.tx.ibone.comcast.net
These seemingly represent different switches and routers along the path to the destination.
I've seen ibone & ccal along the way and I believe ibone are major routers since I see things like:
Which would indicate that ccal are more local compared to ibone which route interstate traffic.
Hoping to learn more about how Comcast networks are designed and connected. I really only have experience with home and business networks so learning about how an ISP is designed would be really interesting.

It also tracks DNS queries which didn't get a response within 1 second and prints them out with the response .
Limitations
