Will using Ethercap on a vm hinder its search for hosts on the main network.? Tried it and couldn’t find all addresses on that network. Don’t know why

When I search for hosts on ethercap it seems to bring back the main computing holding the VM. Hope anyone understands. Sorta new as well

Getting threats from a Crypto website as they have my Gmail address, IP address from Sign Up. Can they put any harm on me?

Today, I received a strange message on discord where they said I am the winner of their random weekly draw. They gave me some promo code and asked me to sign up on their website, use the code and earn BTC.

I followed their steps. But somehow I was fishy about it. I asked their support team on chat several questions about their domain (as it was newly created). Suddenly they blocked my IP. I used VPN to log into my account and now they are asking me for some BTC to delete my account. Threatening me about my IP address.

Please help.
