VM - Kali or other distro - bridge or NAT?

In order to have an isolated system for pentesting (right now studying only), safest as possible and isolated from my main working machine (host)... should I go for bridge or NAT? Trying to connect to websites ttyd terminal from my shell

Does anyone know how to connect to a websites ttyd shell or at least reflect it’s inputs and outputs to my terminal so I can create a program to run my ctf class from my own terminal and not the websites.
